Rating: 4/5Had to RMA first one
Pros: Great Price, Graphics card can handle some not too graphically intense games ( I play Call of Duty MW on low settings). Feels well made and not too heavy
Cons: First one died after 30 days (just did not turn on at all no warning). I called New Egg and they gave me ZERO hassle. I told them what I tried and they said ok np we will send you email with UPS and info of how to send it back... Less then 2 weeks I had a brand new computer and it works fine
Other Thoughts: Love Newegg! Great price for this computer and buying it from a trusted distributor makes it all so much better and stress free.

Rating: 5/5Love it
Pros: Light, big, stays connected, fast, big keyboard, big screen, big HD. I love it and the Windows 7 x64 that runs on it. I think it only has 3.5 hrs of battery life but it doesn't really matter because of the way I use it. I have WIFI at home and at work, and I plug it in at home. Close the lid and it sleeps. I leave it sleeping all the time when not in use so it easily goes a full day at work not plugged in.
Cons: No firewire port. Not that its an issue. If I used my camcorder it might be but I use my digital still camera for videos so its no issue. Even new iMacs have dropped firewire.
Other Thoughts: Its no iPad but it does way more and is much cheaper. I got it on sale for $400 but its probably worth the current $549 price. Boots fast when starting up from shut down. One of the best purchases I ever made.

Rating: 5/5Perfect For the Price
Pros: Overall this laptop works great for the price. I haven't had any issues. This laptop seems to run much cooler than most laptops. This laptop runs more efficient with Windows 7 64-bit, AMD p320 dual core CPU and 4GB DDR3 RAM.
Cons: None yet...
Other Thoughts: Another USB port and a E-sata port would have been nice.

Rating: 4/5Disappointing Audio/Speakers
Pros: Great price - I had actually just ordered a Lenovo on sale for $380 when this one went on sale for $400 the day after (typical...) so I sent the Lenovo (with it's wonky switched-place ALT/CTRL keys) back (unopened) and kept this instead, despite vowing never to get a Toshiba Satellite due to their "history". (I used to be an IT Tech in London, England, in the 90s and the Satellites were total cr*p back then.) After a few weeks of moderate use at home it's a solid buy - Windows 7 works well, it's quiet, doesn't run hot, nice screen, although I haven't tested the wireless range or battery life much yet. For the price it's hard to beat, and you get widescreen and a full-size keyboard with a number pad.
Cons: The biggest disappointment is the speakers - StarCraft II sounds tinny and even when I played around with the audio settings, it still sounds very, very cheap. :-( At least it has stereo speakers, right? (Acer's $380 sale offering on 08/12 had a MONO speaker - WTH?!?) The keyboard isn't that easy to use - for being full-size, the keys have a strange feel to them and typing quickly just isn't that easy to do (for me anyway), although I'm sure that I'll get used to it in time.
Other Thoughts: For $400 it was a great buy. Just the specs alone are hard to beat (unless NewEgg's having a super-duper clearance sale and you're QUICK to order!). The screen is nice but surfing with IE doesn't leave much usable room at the bottom, even with most toolbars disabled, so I switched to Google Chrome instead and I'm happier.

Rating: 4/5Great deal when on sale
Pros: Great deal when on sale at less than four hundred delivered. Fast CPU with virtualization support (are you listening Intel?), 4 GB RAM, case seems pretty solid to me, bright display, lightweight for its size. Good mouse buttons. Decent keyboard and trackpad. Wireless seems really good. No bad pixels. Hard drive / memory easy to upgrade.
Cons: NO DISPLAY DRIVER FOR XP! A major bummer for me since I was planning to move to XP. Battery life is on the low side, 2-3 hours at most. Reflective display has awful black gradient (top/bottom) even when viewed head-on, not so great for watching movie (bad blacks). Newegg return policy (or lack off) so you take a chance on the laptop.
Other Thoughts: At four hundred delivered, it's a steal with no equivalent if you can live with Windows 7. At five fifty, I would still consider it but look around. If someone ever find display drivers for XP, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post here. Toshiba laptops used to be really XP-friendly, but lack of display driver is a downer.

Rating: 5/5Bargain!
Pros: Low price, decent graphics for the money 4GB DDR3, good batterty life
Cons: 2USB ports, no firewire, no HD video out (HDMI, etc)
Other Thoughts: Purchased this as a replacement for a 3 year old acer. Very pleased with performance so far. Cannot beat the sale price of $399 with free shipping and no tax anywhere.

Rating: 4/5Nice laptop for school
Pros: The laptop has everything that I was looking for to use as a laptop for school over the next couple of years. I did not want to spend more than $400 but still get a laptop with a decent processor, built in web cam/mic, 4GB ram, and a decent hard drive. This laptop met it all. I also like the finish since it doesn't show all the fingerprints like my wife's 17" toshiba. I also like the SD card reader. Sort of makes up for only having 2 USB ports. The size and weight will make it easy to travel with.
Cons: 2 USB ports could potentially be an issue, but that's still room for a wireless mouse and a USB drive. It is a little odd how the power chord plugs in right next to the CD drive, so it is a little awkward to open the disc drive, but that's probably just being too picky.
Other Thoughts: I'm not a gamer, so I can't comment on where this laptop falls short. I'll use it for Netflix and watching other media, but not concerned with this not being an HD display. I have only owned this laptop for a week, so if I have issues then I can edit this post. For the money, it's hard to beat what you get with this laptop.
