Pros: -Weight -Battery life -Performance -Comfortable keyboard -Nice resolution and crisp display -Surprisingly powerful -Solid -Battery life
Cons: Doesn't get off the couch and pour me another beer? Can't make me a pizza? Won't protect me in the showers in prison? I don't know.
Other Thoughts: I think that people who are complaining about video playback, games, processing power, etc., don't necessarily know what it is that you are buying. You are not getting a desktop or a gaming laptop or some powerhouse designed to play back 1080p. What you are buying is a mobile computing machine with excellent battery life that truly lives up to its intended purpose. You should not buy this laptop of you are looking for an amazing computer that you can run Photoshop and Hulu and Warcraft on. You should however get this is you are looking for an affordable laptop that isn't a netbook but still has great functionality, performance and battery life. If you need a little more umph, get the core2duo model or one of those monsters from Toshiba with the 19" screen that claim to be a laptop.
In short, this laptop is amazing, if you understand the specs, and what it is you are buying, there's no way you can be let down by it. This is from a guy who reviews nothing he buys on NewEgg.

Poor Performance

Pros: Style. Weight. Screen. Price.
Cons: Performance & CPU
Other Thoughts: This computer looks promising however it is severely limited by the processor and has trouble playing back on-line video. It's a nice looking computer however it feels several years out of date once you start using it. I have returned the computer and am looking at other options.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: I rate it about 4.5eggs, a 5 is too perfect for me but I cannot give it a 4.
My reasons for buying: Battery life, 11”< screen<15”, LED panel, $2** discount, thin, less than 5lbs, HDMI, Acer!
Cons: 1) It concerned me with a blue-screen once. 2) I have not drain the battery to less than 50%, but the following are my estimate of the battery life base on different usage by extrapolating: • Play video with DVD drive ~ about 4.5 hrs. • Normal use with CPU @ about 10% - 60% duties, ~ about 6.5 hrs. • I think 8+ hours could be possible by turning the screen brightness to a lower level and not using the DVD drive. 3) Too many pre-installed applications.
Other Thoughts: Processor is slow as expected and I trade this for battery life before buying. It comes with Vista 64 bits Home Premium. Vista performance scores: 3.4, 5.0, 3.2, 3.3, 5.5 hence base score 3.2. The DVD drive is RW – I just burn a few DVDs but slow comparing to what I used to. HD is H*** 320G 5400rpm. Disk Management report EISA 11.72G and 286.37G partitions. Speakers are reasonable for laptop. It seems to be well-build; feel solid when handle.
