Great laptop
- Pros: Great processor 2.26 GHZ, great HDD 7200 rpm 320 GB, and displays @ 1920 x 1080. I'd recommend this laptop to anybody spending around $1000.
- Cons: No Blu-Ray drive and the battery life isn't what it should be, no problem if you upgrade the battery.
Sony FW290JAB
- Pros: very nice display, keyboard and overall build..Did get feedback from numerous folks before i jumped into this sony..mostly a lenovo thinkpad user so thought through a bit before the sony purchase..but so far so good. absolutely nothing to complain.
- Cons: None really, but for the well known sony additional software that i feel is useless..
- Other Thoughts: Newegg shipped it promptly...two days since i placed my order to get it..

Excellent HD Laptop
- Pros: It’s an Excellent laptop for the price.
Ha s a superior feeling and not a discounted toy like feeling as you are using it
DooH… The math says it all 350 to 700 in savings depending who you shop with.
Works well with my projector I use for Training.
Has more than adequate space and speed for applications used to design my presentations and training aids.
The screen is (WOW) extremely clear when tiring to put together power point programs and flash presentations for others to view.
This unit seems to be stream lined and has a well laid out design for those who are using it for presentations.
This unit is not really as heave as others I talked to and had said it was on the Hefty side.
- Cons: Wish that the unit had 2 usb ports on each side (Left-n-Right)
- Other Thoughts: Runs Windows Vista® Home
Premium 64-bit better than I had expected.
When the warrntee is up would like to see what a T9400 could do for the performance....
Super for the Money
- Pros: Graphics are as good as any laptop I have seen from $2000 and under. Outstanding value in a laptop that has HD graphics and a discrete video card with its own memory. Seems to perform well on all applications, and I am even running the high end solid modeling package Pro/E. It isn't a desk based work station, but gets it done very well for being a laptop. For the current price Newegg is offering it, you can't come close anywhere on the net.
- Cons: I am not a big fan of the 17 inch screens, but this one was slightly less and I couldn't beat the price. The size is what you would see in a 17 inch screen, a little wide for comfortable air travel. I would also have liked to had a Blu Ray player in it, but that isn't as big a deal as I won't be watching very many movies on the laptop anyway.
- Other Thoughts: Overall great value, I would recommend it.
