1 out of 5 eggsFYI

Pros: 128 GB SSD & smaller than average 8" size.

Cons: Vastly overpriced for perfomance of the machine.
The Intel Z530 processor produces performance on the level of an outdated Intel Penitum 3 or early Intel Celeron or so.
They've installed an underpowered battery, so you're left with 4 hours battery life.

Other Thoughts: The retail price of a 128 GB SSD 1.8" harddrive may have been 1000$ at the time Sony manufactured this.
However, you can find them below 350$ here on this site. Your best bet may be to buy an average 200$ netbook with a 11" and 160GB harddrive screen and install an SSD yourself.
Think 600$ for a netbook with 10 hours of battery life & the 128GB SSD you installed included.
Verizon wireless cards can be found with an USB bus for very affordable rates.
I see no real benefit with purchasing this netbook unless you must have an 8" form.

5 out of 5 eggsNo, I don't own this product

Pros: Oh, and i forgot to mention the embedded mobile mobile broadband in this netbook. Judging by your thought that this is the same as other netbooks, I will go ahead and explain what that is- it's a broadband card built into the pc so you can get internet with a service provider wherever you go. Do all netbooks have that? Didn't think so.

Cons: You do pay a little for the sony brand name, but they make a high qualilty product

3 out of 5 eggsThe price isn't too ridiculous

Pros: Why does this cost so much when it has the same specs as all the other netbooks?
Because it DOESN'T have exactly the same specs:
Huge diffrence: 128GB SSD
Which in turn makes it 1/2 to 1/3 the weight of a regular notebook.
Higher resolution LED backlight wide screen (although about 2" less than others), plus 2GB ram vs 1GB that comes std on others.
Sony quality.

Cons: Price of course, size may be too small for some.

Other Thoughts: If money is no object, and you wanted a netbook that was as portable as a smartphone but at the very LEAST had twice the power of any spec on a smartphone, this would be it. But very few fortunate people fall into that category.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth the price

Pros: None when you look at the price. Compare this to the other netbooks and you'll see they are the same product for way less.

Cons: overpriced, don't waste your money

Other Thoughts: if it were cheaper I'd think about recommending it to someone.
