4 out of 5 eggsPerfect for the price.

Pros: Amazing Keyboard
Full Numpad is fantastically handy
Sound is unbelievable. I keep it at a 4 and I can hear it perfectly.
Very fast.
Light, very portable.
Touchy trackpad (Good or bad depending on what you're doing)
Generally good at holding onto battery power (3h 30m)
Touchscreen is nice and receptive.

Cons: (Windows 8 issues)
Had to manually turn off onscreen keyboard. Why would I need it? I have a keyboard right on it. Derpy microsoft.
The zoom feature with the track pad is so annoying that I have to manually reset the zoom on certain pages. All and all, most of the cons are user issues. I just need to learn more about Windows 8.
It runs a bit hot when running multiple programs.

No dedicated memory for graphics.
Wish there was an HDMI port.

Other Thoughts: I researched all over the place when I decided to drop a grand of my money for a decent laptop. This, by far, offered the best specs. (It was also on sale) I knew I wanted something fast and powerful, with memory out the bum and a touchscreen. I was in best buy (Don't judge, I wanted to get an upclose look at the machines) and it came down to a gaming Asus and a classic Samsung. Then the Vaio brand caught my eye. It wasn't this model... Too bulky. I decided to go home and look more into Sony. I had never had one.

After some digging, I found this gem. i7 with both a touchscreen, decent resolution and memory to boot is pretty rare. AND IT IS PINK. Oh, and that picture doesn't even do this thing justice. It is sexy and all get out. The pink is a brushed, gentle pastel and not the bright eyesore it seems in some pictures. I knew this is what I wanted but I wanted to see what Vaio's site had to say. Well, unfortunately, Vaio has -ripped- this particular model from it's online pages. I couldn't even view it. I went through customer service but no one would tell me why it wasn't on the virtual sales floor. The second after I hung up with Sony, I came to NewEgg and ordered the last one they had in stock. Yeah, sorry. If it was silently recalled because all the others exploded, (considering I couldn't even find a decent review on this thing), you'll thank me.

But until then, this laptop rocks.

*Dear college students: If you're looking for a light, fast laptop that won't slow you down in class or out. This is your FIT.
*Gamers be warned: The trade off of price, memory and processor left little to be desired in the graphics department. It'll run my tower defense and warcraft games but I wouldn't push it any farther.

4 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: Bought this for my sister and helped her configure it so these are the things she said, "I like the back-lit keyboard and battery life (Sony seems to do it right). The keyboard feels good too almost like a smooth chick-let keyboard. The 10 key is a huge plus."

Cons: Touchscreen broken the day I got it, called Sony tech support, couldn't fix with a simple driver or even a factory restore, so ended up having to ship it back to Sony in Texas to have it manually repaired (7-10 business days out of a laptop)

Other Thoughts: I've been pleased with Sony products in the past, but somehow this one was a dud, and not sure how it got past their quality assurance considering the touchscreen wasn't working the day I got it and couldn't be repaired with a driver etc. I even asked for a loaner laptop in the meantime to continue working, but apparently Sony stopped doing that some time ago so be aware if you get a dud, you'll be out for a week or more depending on the issue. Tech support was very helpful and friendly.
