4 out of 5 eggsExactly what I needed

Pros: My priorities were price, performance, 1920x1080, 3 monitors and weight.
I bought this open box for under $1.2 and am very happy using it as a desktop replacement at home (running a couple of instances of Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate, multiple browsers, office, etc with a usb hub for external keyboard and mouse across three monitors) or using it to code on the train.

Cons: The drive was more than 1/2 full when I got it.
I haven't spent the time removing bloatware yet, but I already regret not buying the 256 gig version.
Other reviews mentioned the paint scratching. No big deal, but it would have been nice if it had looked new a little longer.

2 out of 5 eggspartial satisfaction

Pros: really light

Cons: 1. capricious - does not bother reading from external hard drives which other older machines read fluently. needs everything perfect.
2. silver color comes off easily. 1 day old looks like 2 years old
3. 128 gb. is not enough for the sizes of software we need to download nowadays.

Other Thoughts: silver paint over it is very poor quality. it came off immediately after a minor touch with its own adapter. one will buy this computer because of is its portability, but because it has so little resistance to scratches and touching, you cannot put it on a hard surface. the thin layer of silver comes off and the black is showing underneath. This does not happen to mac. In a nutshell it does not serve you, you have to serve it by taking good care.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very Light and runs quietly. Touchpad area is great to work with and gestures can be smooth after adjusting the settings you're comfortable with.

Cons: I am dumbfounded when the lid came with some tiny scratches. The box appears to have been tampered with because the sticker is still there.

5 out of 5 eggsLight and wicked quick

Pros: Very light and durable. Touch screen is an awesome feature as well as the keyboard feedback. Touchpad is okay. Speakers are amazing, truly.

Cons: Battery is decent, but should be on par with macbook air 13. Touchpad could be better as far as multi-touch goes.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome!

Pros: the touchpad is by far the best of any ultrabook.
the keyboard is second maybe only to some lenovos, but just as good.
I'm a unix programmer, and I can go beast-mode on this keyboard all day.
the SD card slot on the side allows a card to be inserted flush with the case!

Cons: a tiny amount of light-bleed at full brightness, but really nothing to complain about. it's generally a great display.

Other Thoughts: compatible with linux if you're willing to compile your own kernel.
I have mine configured with arch linux, custom iwlwifi kernel(thanks intel), also with the patched intel_pstate, and I'm loving it.

Of course you won't have to do any of these custom kernel things when these are present in the mainline kernel(probably soon).
