4 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop

Pros: Beautiful display
Can run some games flawlessly but not all.
Decent price for a daily laptop
Blu-Ray Drive

Cons: The keyboard seems sluggish. Some letters are left out when typing very fast.

The webcam quality could've been better.

Other Thoughts: People who are having trouble playing a blu ray out of the box need to launch the program called Corel Win DVD. It came pre-installed with my laptop.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop

Pros: Found there is barely any bloatware on this computer, a few things I uninstalled in 15 minutes. Four gigs of ram and 320 hdd is good, and it has hdmi out which is great when paired with wireless key and mouse. on your tv. Offset mousepad is no problem and I think it is in a good spot. This laptop is fast and I even got it to run some games great like counterstrike source (30fps) which in my eyes is not that bad. Screen is decent size and battery last long, however it is new and the batter should be in great shape.

Cons: Speakers are not good but what do you expect, get some externals if it means that much to you or use head phones.

Other Thoughts: Third sony viao laptop my wife and I have owned. I had another i bought from newegg years ago and I broke it myself by dropping it hard. I always thought sony's customer service was good and have found the viao laptops that I have owned to be way more stable than hp, toshiba, and acer. Oh yea and one more things, this computer is 499 elsewhere, BRING DOWN THE PRICE NEWEGG, i liek the egg but if im gonna save 150 dollars i will go elsewehere

5 out of 5 eggsFailReviewers

Pros: People like the above reviewer screws with buyer choices. I am an experienced IT professional, and if you notice all the cons related to the above users', it is typical for the most part (aside from bad blu ray player) to have manufacturer bloatware as well as screwy touchpads. Most people that use their notebook heavily rely on a mouse anyway. All touchpads suck! It is also typical for most manufacturers to create recovery partitions for a quick reinstallation of windows. However, if they do not ship the Operating System disk have no fear! You can always find a good Windows ISO for whatever version of Windows you have installed and create your own disk. Just be sure to pull the product key from your laptop with some type of third party utility.

Cons: Most feedback from users on here fail....

Other Thoughts: Yep.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Purchase I have Ever Made From Newegg

Pros: Very clear display, nice and sharp. Plays blu-ray crisp. Quiet. Haven't bothered trying the HDMI out based on all the cons below. Runs all the apps I need it to - Office, Photoshop, Crystal Reports.

Cons: Having the touch pad offset to left side is a VERY POOR DESIGN CHOICE - YOU LISTENING SONY??? POOR DESIGN. Why is it not centered? Makes using the touch pad VERY AWKWARD, hence using the laptop difficult. All that, and the touch pad is very jumpy. Using the scroll feature (right side of pad) is inconsistent at best. Nothing like the main interface being a pain to use. Speaker sound is average at best. Top does not lock when shut; hope their closing mechanism doesn't wear out. Wireless N only 150Mbps, not 300. Also, NO RECOVERY DISK - Sony elects to take 10GB of your HDD and use it as "system recovery". That's great and all, as long as the HDD doesn't crash. Don't worry... you can always go to their website and buy the DVD for about $40. Unbelievable. Keep in mind this is my second one, as the first laptop I received had a bad blu-ray drive. Did I mention VAIO bloatware yet? Oh yeah, that too. These words fail to describe the disappointment in my purchase. $ flushed down the drain...

Other Thoughts: Would not suggest buying this to a friend or family member, much less a stranger. To me, the offset touch pad is a major flaw which negatively affects the experience of using the machine. Oh, and I installed Windows 7 Pro over the Windows Home "Premium". This is a real disappointment, although it is the first poor product I've purchased through Newegg. Based on what I paid ($675), I should have purchased something (anything) else. Imagine having your desktop PC mouse situated offset so you have to crane your neck to view your monitor. Others may not find this to be a big deal, however, I do. Very awkward setup.

DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY - NEWEGG REPLACEMENT ONLY - NO REFUND
