Pros: start-up/reboot speed

Cons: The keyboard is unusable. Keys stick and are so shallow they don't register 50% of the time. Windows 8 buggy with touchpad...maddening!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Except for Fan Noise

Pros: Great Specs, boots up fast, stylish. Camera is ok but not great by any means. Battery life is around 4-5 hrs. Touchpad can be a little un-responsive at times but you just need to get used to how it handles. I use this computer mainly for school so i haven't tested any games. Windows 8 isn't too bad just need to play around with it and learn the hotkeys and touchpad gestures.

Cons: My main issue with this product is its fan noise. I bought this ultrabook for school use and I am often in quiet enviroments (Library, Class, etc.). The Fan will run loudly even if its not doing anything stressful. It will not be as loud at times and will be almost silent (like i expected it to be at all times being an ultrabook and all) but the fan will decide to speed up even if your just browsing internet or using word. I called Sony cause I thought that this had to be a problem but apparently it just runs like this.
If you dont mind a noisy fan then by all means this is a great buy. However if you need it for classes etc. I would look elsewhere for a quieter computer.

If i somehow find a solution to this fan noise ill edit this but who knows.

1 out of 5 eggsToo bad

Pros: Lightweight, perfect screen size for mobility, excellent battery.

Cons: There is something wrong with Newegg/UPS because I bought this laptop before Christmas, so they delivered on 25 Jan. Moreover, after 2 days of using, it's frozen. And when I want to refund it, Newegg says that I couldn't do it online.

Other Thoughts: Fortunately, I was considering buying another one (right before the first one frozen) because there was an open box on Newegg just $499. But someone was quickly to buy it when I put my card there.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ultrabook

Pros: Lightweight, works great, read reviews about fan noise but it seems pretty quiet to me. Working well straight out of the box.

Cons: Mouse is somewhat annoying for right-clicking.

5 out of 5 eggsJust as advertised

Pros: Nice design, super light, super fast. Same boot-up time as my wife's macbook air, and was 35% cheaper.

Cons: Still getting used to Windows 8, but now that i found the desktop icon (duh!), less dependent on all these new "improvements". That being said, I do like certain parts of Windows 8, maybe just takes some time to get used to.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent laptop

Pros: Very fast bootup. Very light. Very good looking. Performs my grad school demands flawlessly. Comes with 6gm ram and a 32Gb ssd.

Cons: None so far. It does what it says it will do based upon the specs. Do not expect to play demanding games on high quality with this video card, it's not made for that. This video card will do any other duties well. It will, however, allow you to play 2-d games such as Torchlight and Diablo 3. It can even play borderlands 2

Other Thoughts: I will have to agree with Ken C. To the customer with a 1 egg review because this ultrabook does not have a touchscreen: No where does Newegg say it has a touchscreen. It was your mistake and your assumption that it did. I believe you are referring to the i3 that has the touchscreen (I could be wrong). Do not down rate a good machine because of your error. What makes it worse is that you will no longer support Newegg because of your own foolishness. What a shame. To be honest, I don't believe the touchscreen is a necessity with Windows 8. You can do all those functions with the pad or a mouse. I wouldn't want to put fingerprints on my screen anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsUh, What?

Pros: Excellent machine...that doesn't say anywhere that it has a touch screen, hence...doesn't have a touch screen.

Cons: The guy below me says he is angry because the computer doesn't have a touch screen. He is correct. Not only doesn't it have a touch screen...it never states that it has a touch screen. So, given the listing here on NewEgg, one can safely assume that it does not have a touch screen. Why someone would slam an item for not having what it never said it had is beyond me.

Other Thoughts: ...and, the guy admits that he didn't take the time to do any reseach or, more importantly, even read the listing. Still, he gives it one egg for his being too stupid to even read the listing. It is this kind of thing that kills the value of reviews. Dear Mr. N/A (do you notice that reviews like this never say who they are...just "N/A"?)...learn to read.

This is an excellent laptop...and your bogus review will keep people from getting a bargain on a great machine.

1 out of 5 eggsBeware: no touch screen!

Pros: In general, this seems like a great entry-level ultrabook for the price. Startup is pretty fast and the machine is pretty quiet. Fast shipping as usual.

Cons: Does not have a touch screen--which is one of the most important features of new Windows 8 ultrabooks. Confusingly, there is another ultrabook with otherwise identical specs which I mistook for this one. Unfortunately for me, Newegg refuses to refund a single penny (I literally just opened the box and powered on the machine) despite the "30 day return policy" listed at the time of purchase.

I also found touchpad detection of Win8 gestures to be inconsistent; roughly 50% of the time the gestures don't work.

Other Thoughts: I was shocked and disappointed that Newegg refused to provide any refund for this confusingly advertised item which is essentially brand new. Since I did buy it at somewhat of a discount, I will attempt to recoup most of the cost by reselling it.

Despite being a loyal Newegg customer for nearly a decade, I feel I can no longer trust Newegg and certainly will never again buy PCs/laptops from them.

5 out of 5 eggsSleek

Pros: -Beautiful, sleek machine. Definite eye candy.
-Fast boot & setup, not too much bloatware
-Nice video and sound quality

Cons: -The one piece click/touch pad kinda annoys me. I like when it's separated out so I can tell when I'm right or left clicking.
-The top screen seems a little flimsy.
-Windows 8 is frustrating to use. It's actually easier to navigate with my keyboard than with the touchpad. Many of my pre-installed apps aren't working correctly. Something's not syncing right with my microsoft acct. This is more of a software problem, so I'm not knocking points on the actual laptop.

Other Thoughts: Haven't encountered the noisy fan problem yet. I'll update if that becomes a problem

5 out of 5 eggsA Great Buy!

Pros: A very nice Ultrabook. Stylish, sturdy, cool, fast, and thin

I am very satisfied. Out of the box, it does the job. Going to 8Gb RAM might be nice, but the 6Gb that comes with it is fine. The HDD is quick. No noticeable noise. Excellent screen. Keyboard is good, trackpad is excellent. VERY quick boot-up time. Angled power cord.

Cons: OK, I like Windows 7...and, unless you are UberGeek, don't try to install 7 on this.

Still, Windows 8 is an interesting setup, but it takes some getting used to.

Wish it has a 3rd USB.

Other Thoughts: Installed MS Office and Adobe CS without any problems.

The price was excellent...and the Everki case that came with it for free is awesome. Sending in the rebate stuff today, which chops another $100 off of the price of admission. :-)

I am very satisfied.
