Good for the price
Pros: I got the laptop in March and it has been running great ever since. It has a good amount of ram, processing power, and gpu power. (For those wondering it does use ddr3 for the gpu) It is a perfectly good laptop for gaming on lower settings I was able to play Bio Shock Infinite at 30 fps with medium graphics set. (any higher and you start to loose fps). Minecraft obviously runs like a dream on this and with some adjustments Call of Duty Black Ops and Kerbal Space Program all run fairly well considering it is not a gaming laptop. For the price I would have liked a higher resolution web cam but considering I did not buy it for the web cam I am not going to complain. Also I would have liked the ability to upgrade to 16 GB of ram. (I checked the processor data sheet and it is able to support more than 16 but Sony limited it to 8 GB)
Cons: Well about 3 months in it completely died. I was not running any thing out of the ordinary, just playing Call of Duty and the laptop froze so I proceeded to Ctrl Alt Delete which it did not respond to. So I waited a few minuets and it still did not respond so I gave up and did a hard reset (hold the power button for four seconds). Then I pressed the power button and the keyboard back-light, hdd indicator, power indicator, and the wireless indicator all lit up just like in normal boot but the laptop did not display anything on screen so I proceeded to wait and within 30 seconds it shut off. I then assumed it was a screen problem and connected it to and external display via HDMI and VGA both did not show the bios on boot. I read online and saw that a few other people had the same problem and were able to fix it by removing all power sources and holding the power button for 10 seconds which I tried with no success. It is now about a week later and I have contacted Newegg who in turn refereed me to Sony. Sony was able to take the laptop back for repair and I am currently waiting on the confirmation email that says they have received the laptop.
Other Thoughts: Hopefully Sony will be able to repair the laptop. I have to say it is still a very good laptop I am just very annoyed that it died in 3 months. But I don't blame that on Newegg it was either a flaw in my laptop or a flaw in Sony's production process. Also I was very pleased with both Newegg and Sony's customer support both were very kind and straight to the point. This is the first product I have ever received from Newegg that has failed and I have used Newegg for 3 different computer builds as well as the occasional extra hard drive. I did remove an egg for the laptop dying so soon but I will continue to recommend Newegg for their wonderful products and Sony for their wonderful customer support.

Pros: Screen Size and cost for value of components, plus light up keyboard.
Cons: Sony product so you pay a little more but this was the only laptop found with all the components and bigger screen size for under a 1000 bucks!
Other Thoughts: You wont regret the buy!
