5 out of 5 eggsGREAT computer!

Pros: Extremely compact, long battery life, light, good feature set, excellent versatility. With easy RAM upgrade, will handle ANY MS Office task with EASE. Very good Samsung support for drivers. LOVE the Samsung automatic backup and restore utility. EZ to upgrade to SSD also for EXTREME performance increase.

Cons: Graphics power is limited and not upgradeable, but that is an issue with all netbooks. Will run videos fine, but a little slow on web page uploads with heavy graphics, image editing is slower than ideal, and don't try video editing. If you do image/video editing, get a workstation!!

Other Thoughts: As an attorney, I have used this for THREE YEARS every day. I take it to clients' homes, coffee shops, road trips, everywhere! EXTREMELY RELIABLE AND PORTABLE!! I bought FOUR MORE for the college kids and wife (professor) too! NEVER a problem with the hardware! I have owned dozens of big brand computers, and this one has been the most reliable BY FAR.

I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who needs a rugged, compact netbook.

5 out of 5 eggsLight/quick

Pros: Long battery life

Cons: Samsung ships the NC10 with a recovery partition. Not really a con for all, but I'll never use it and it's still gigs of space.

Other Thoughts: Good linux support.

5 out of 5 eggsWell Worth the Amazing Price

Pros: Everything is a pro! The size, the weight, the feel of the keys (they arent dinky like some laptops) and it is small enough to carry anywhere but not too small that you can't type or see the screen properly. It fits in my purse no problem and you barely feel the weight difference. And it works really well with a outside monitor plugged in. I got a 23" flatscreen and it still looks perfect! The pictures look great (although you have to play with the settings to adjust with the small screen). I use the laptop as my main computer and just plug the monitor, speakers, mouse and keyboard, and external dvd drive in and it still works really well. The extra battery life is amazing and the extra memory is just a dream. And the extra warranty is not expensive at all for an extra 2 years. Overall it is an amazing laptop to get! Now that I got one, all my friends are begging their parents to get them one! :) I would have no hesitation to buy another one....

Cons: Nothing really... The sound could be better but its not bad. Im just used to really nice speakers and its no problem hooking speakers up. Some people consider the no dvd drive a problem but just getting a external dvd drive is really easy. They are only about $100 and compared to a laptop with a dvd drive, its around a $800 dollar difference. :)

Other Thoughts: I wish that they have a hard case to buy that would go with this. I am constantly carrying my laptop around and I am freaked that it might break by some freak accident.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy!

Pros: Excellent compromise among mobility, power, and screen size.
Handles Windows 7 (build 7068) better than XP or Vista.
All hardware worked out of the box w/ Win 7.
Matte screen, viewable in the sun.
Amazing battery life.
Surprisingly decent camera even in low-light situations.

Cons: Not a fan of the faux chrome around the perimeter.
Lid is a fingerprint magnet, but not a big issue. A Microfiber cloth will fix that.
Small track pad.
Kind of annoying to hit Fn+PgUp to use the home key.
Preinstalled software: too much, slows down bootup, not helpful.

Other Thoughts: What else is there to say. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thus far it has surpassed my expectations in quality, performance, and style. I did not get to see one of these in person before hand and I am glad that did not affect my purchase choice. If you use Win 7, go for the 2gb ram upgrade. You'll notice a big difference.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Netbook

Pros: Nice Monitor, Touchpad gestures are nice, spacious hdd (for a netbook), good wireless reception, bluetooth, keyboard is fantastic (once again for a netbook), pretty much everything is great except for....

Cons: Touchpad is on the small side, but nothing that cant be fixed from changing the sensitivity. speakers are very lacking. they sound nice, but they're far too quiet. But in the use netbooks are made for, you'll probably use headphones anyway. difficult to gain full functionality with most linux distros, but not impossible.

Other Thoughts: Overall, the product for the price ($465 at time of purchase) is the best i have found in the current netbook market (1stQ 2009). Highly recommended if you're in the market

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome netbook

Pros: Bluetooth, screen size, battery life, Samsung name. It does what it's designed to do, and that's surfing the internet, checking email, and other basic tasks.

Cons: I have mixed emotions about some of the Samsung software. Took me a little bit to get used to the touchpad, but no big deal. I wish it had 802.11n, but that would have an affect on the price. Doesn't boot as quickly as I thought it would based on other reviews, but it is certainly tolerable. Some of the ports (USB, Ethernet) are a little too snug for my tastes, but again it's not a huge deal.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded to 2GB before I even turned it on, so I can't make any remarks on before/after performance. This is one of the best looking netbooks and has some of the best features (battery life, Bluetooth, etc). I have been on this thing so much my girlfriend wants one. Newegg is the best!

5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: Great, works like it is supposed to. I installed 2GB of RAM and installed an Intel 5350 so I get WiMAX and Draft-N. It beats any other netbook on the market right now.

However, wait for the NC-10 Special Edition. It will have an improved touchpad.

Cons: Touchpad is a bit small. Nothing to cry about.

5 out of 5 eggsCollege Student's Sidekick

Pros: I'm a student at the University of Washington, and it is pretty much my side kick. extremely reliable for homework, videos, internet, mediocre gaming and music.
well spent the 500 dollars (i upgraded ram, which was extremely easy)

Cons: speakers aren't as loud
