1 out of 5 eggsFault warranty statement from Samsung

Pros: There is no pro here.

Cons: Tablet arrive with battery daed on arrival. computer came with a "90 day limited warranty" paperwork from Samsung clearly stating a ninety days parts and labor. However, upon calling and contacting Samsung they refused warranty, stating "you did not buy the refurbished part from a Samsung store so we do not honor that warranty"... ????

1 out of 5 eggsSamsung ATIV

Pros: Cheap

Cons: I won't be buying anything from Samsung again and probably not Newegg either for selling this. The first one was very difficult to connect the keyboard. It required a lot of pressure. After a few months this caused the Windows button to fail, then the whole keyboard quit working. Got a replacement and that one the keyboard is really easy to attache, but you get a constant ding as it connects and disconnects from the tablet. This is with the latches engaged.
As near as I can tell Samsung designed it loose at first, got mad that it didn't work, so made it too tight.

Other Thoughts: Throw the ($150) keyboard in the garbage. Stay away from this and apparently Samsung altogether. They don't care for quality anymore. They even messed up the fix. That's pretty bad.

1 out of 5 eggsSamsung ATIV Pro-700t tablet

Pros: Looked nice, received on time

Cons: This tablet did not have a clean installed Windows OS on it. I was unable to activate it. I received an error every time I try to activate it or start the DHCP service so I was unable to connect wireless without a static IP. The tablet has several quirks that seem to say I was not the original owner. This was purchased as a Christmas gift and I was trying to get it setup for my wife the Monday before Christmas. I was just really really disappointed in Newegg since I have always gotten such great service up till now. What a time to let me down.

Other Thoughts: I turned around and ordered a brand new tablet that Monday and paid for next day delivery and it's now the day after Christmas and I have nothing and no one knows anything and the customer service lady I spoke with on the phone really didn't seem care she just seemed really upset that she was having to work and the she also had to work Christmas Eve. Well sweet heart why don't you find another job because you’re sure not good at the one you have!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tablet!!! Great Price!!!

Pros: 1) unbelievable screen
2) keyboard feels great
3) unbelievably fast (3rd gen core i5)
4) good as new
5) refurbished price
6) portability
7) USB ports (1 built in, 2 on keyboard)
8) speakers on the front of the tablet

Cons: 1)Windows store was kind of a disappointment. but it is still a windows computer so I can download any applications I want off the internet.

2) getting used to Windows 8

3) and the keyboard doesn't allow the screen to tilt back more than about 110 degrees, but you get used to it.

Other Thoughts: I couldn't believe I found a windows 8 Tablet for this cheap! especially considering it has a core i5 processor and 100gb ssd! But, the OS does take up a lot of the space. After I istalled my prgrams, music, photos, etc. I have about 40GBs left. (plenty of room for homework)

I believe the only reason that this is refurbished is because when this tablet first came out, I read a bunch of reviews saying that the keyboard was constantly disconnecting. I haven't fun into this problem yet!

I thought I would be using this as more of a tablet than ultrabook, but I almost always have the keyboard attached.

I recommend getting a small Bluetooth mouse to go with it. and at this refurb price I would absolutely buy it again!

4 out of 5 eggsPreliminary Impressions

Pros: - Tablet and dock came out of the box looking brand new.
- Screen is beautiful and 1080p
- No lag whatsoever with the i5 and 4GB of RAM
- Windows 8/8.1 is not so bad on a tablet or convertible
- Keyboard and touchpad work well when not disconnecting and reconnecting (see below)
- The ability to use it as a tablet, but then open and edit work documents or remote into a client and administer an ESXi server is very compelling.

Cons: - Keyboard dock connects and disconnects if you just look at it the wrong way, sometimes causing the touchscreen to also become unresponsive for a few seconds
- It's a little heavy
- The complaints about it being top-heavy when docked are true, but it's less of a nuisance to me than others had me expecting
- Battery life is not great, but it seems adequate based on my limited use thus far.
- Comes with Windows 8 missing almost 100 updates, so you have to install all those updates just to get the 8.1 upgrade to show up in the MS Store, which then takes a little while to install. Then you have to update all the apps after that. Not the end of the world though.

Other Thoughts: The concerns and trade-offs of an MS Tablet with a real laptop process and full OS are already quite obvious. My first concern was the condition of the refurbished unit, my second was the build quality, and my third was the dock disconnects I read about. I'm quite happy with the first two items, but the dock is pretty annoying.

I got the refurb at a great price and added a warranty, so even if I buy a case with a stand and a separate BT keyboard to eliminate the dock, I'll still be happy with what I got for what I paid.
