2 out of 5 eggsRandom reboots, random screen flicker, and random SD card un-mount, and remounts.

Pros: There are a LOT of positives about this tablet, but the issues it has, kind of out weigh these.

Cons: Random reboots, Random screen flicker, and Random SD card un-mount, and remounts.

Other Thoughts: If not for the three listed issues, this tablet would be the best on the market.
It's size, weight, and the S Pen make this tablet ideal for sketching, drawing, and many, many uses. But untill Samsung resolves the issues, I could not recommend this tablet.
PS: These issues can be found posted all over the internet on Android, and tablet forums.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent if you need a large tablet

Pros: Fast performance, large bright sharp screen adequate for watching movies comfortably or reading website info without squinting or scrolling, good battery life, SD card for added storage, responsive and pleasant to use (my wife loves it after nearly a year of use).

Cons: Price, I suppose. Any quality tablet of this size is going to cost a bit more. Not pocketable, and you would look a bit silly using it while traveling as a camera or video camera.

Other Thoughts: There's a lot of misinformation in the earlier reviews, which I'd like to correct.
1) Charging is not slow...it does take a while if the battery is very low, but that's because it's a high capacity battery which is needed to run a large hi-res screen. My guess is the person complaining is using a weak charger or has a lot of unnecessary stuff running all the time.
2) You can indeed use an ordinary micro USB cable to not only charge, but to transfer data to the device or card. You do not need the provided USB3 cable or anything proprietary, just plug it in to a PC and transfer or move files through the computer's file explorer. My guess is the person having a problem was using a charge-only cable, which is hard to tell apart from normal ones, but won't transfer data on anything. Or he's using a Mac, which maybe won't transfer data, but what would one expect.
3) Apps can indeed write to the SD card. This was an issue with KitKat that has been mostly resolved, and is irrelevant anyway because your tablet should upgrade to Lollipop on its own...ours did.
4) It does indeed set itself via network time if you have that option checked. My guess is the one having a problem with that had his location settings off or something similar, which might disable the ability to set the clock via the network. It can and does.
5) Don't worry about the pre-installed apps. There's plenty of space, you can easily disable what you don't like, other apps can be moved to the SD card if desired, and it performs fine out of the box. And, it comes with a nice app to tell you what's running that will let you disable stubborn apps like Facebook that don't like to quit running when you close them.
If you're thinking of a 10" tablet, consider this one...the extra size really doesn't affect portability over a 10" one, and the extra screen size and high resolution makes for a very easy to use and pleasant to use device.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome tablet

Pros: Beautiful screen
very fast
stylus / handwriting is awesome
good battery

I've seen complaints about the charge cable and the reviewer didn't understand how it works. The note phone uses the same cable and it's dual function. If you damage or lose the original cable you can still fit a standard micro cable for charging, you just won't be able to transfer media to a pc without the original Samsung cable that works with the Note

This is a great tablet and this is also a very good marketplace seller

Cons: None so far

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate on previous charging complaint

Pros: Battery charging got flakey, ordered new power data cables, some that were shipped from some supplier's still wouldn't work. But I kept trying and found some will. I found this out by using a Samsung 5 TB external USB 3.0 cable.

That said, Samsung power cable is a little poorly designed, stock up, I learn a long time ago to treat cables and sockets gently, gently isn't good enough. Thin spaghetti canles, may handle better, but they don't hold up. Anyway I recommend you buy many and by often!

But it had me scared, glad I found a fix. Jim

Cons: Better power supply cables, please

4 out of 5 eggsNice Tablet

Pros: 12 inch screen is great. The high resolution is great with the large screen. I like that it runs Kit Kat. Seems to have reasonable battery life and is definitely faster than my old Acer A700.

Cons: I don't like how Samsung has customized Android. I would prefer a more stock google android experience. There are the usual mfgr craplets that can't be uninstalled. At least you can disable most of them. Once I hacked away the undergrowth I have a useable device.

The major annoyance is the discovery of NO NETWORK TIME. I am not sure if this is Samsungs fault or Google thinking NTP is insecure. My other device (Acer A700 Jelly Bean) had the ability to use NTP to keep the clock accurate. The Samsung device does not allow this to be selected. I discovered my clock was 5 minutes off when daylight savings time happened recently. I never gave the clock a thought. Since it should be set by network time. Even ancient cruddy old widows will keep the clock right. But NO, the clock in my device runs fast. In a few months it is significantly off. So I thought -- install an app to sync the clock. But NO google does not allow aps to set the clock -- not without root! So the best I could do is an app that allows you to set the clock at a beep tone from an NTP server. You can get within a second with good reflexes. Wow how 21st century can you get. You shouldn't have to put up with this kinda stuff on Android. You shouldn't have to root your device just to keep the clock accurate.

Other Thoughts: Aside from the NTP thing, I'm pretty happy. Most of the world seems to like their 7 inch Phablets. I like my 12 in Tab, and carry a nice small, highly reliable (battery lasts forever) ancient Motorola flip phone.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tablet

Pros: I have owned and sold many tablets of different size and operating systems. This tablet is by far the best I have owned. I got it here on newegg for under 450 which is a steal compared to the retail price. I have the note 4 phone with s-pen and this is the same but on a way bigger level. The note pro comes with 32gb of internal added 64gb micro and it's a win. I take notes, watch movies, surf the web and enjoy many apps made for this bigger size screen on android market (play store) with very smooth transitions from swiping pages to opening websites etc...

for a tablet this size it is very light and thin which really shocked me

Cons: not a con just my personal preference of having a lot of accessories......not much out there

also not as portable as other tablets....not a con for me but might be for some

Other Thoughts: i use the note pro everyday......when i pull it out in public the reaction I get is unbelievable.....i would recommend the note pro 12.2 to anyone looking to upgrade their existing tablet to what i think is one of the best on the market.

4 out of 5 eggsNote Pro P 9000

Pros: Works, with limits! Faster than my 10.1 " Tablet.

Cons: Can't write to added 64gb micro so card. Due to a change in KitCat, usability has been limited, making it useless, no - one is working to correct G he problem.

Comes with many useless bloatware apps, can't remove them without rooting the OS. Upgraded from 10.1" GALAXY TABLET, while I still like it, I'm a little disappointed that it's not as good as it could be with a little effort. Split screen only does a few programs very limited. Battery could be improved, don't think it will meet the ad times, close to the 10.1 Tab.

KitCat needs a fix at the app software level to re support the so card functionalities, no - one is interested in doing it, this is a big shot in the foot. Add functionality, not remove it!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast processor, Excellent display and very good touch screen, S-note and stylus, available Android applications, multi-window capability, expandable memory (with micro-SD card) so you do not have to pay an arm and a leg for internal memory (as with the iPad), MHL to HDMI connection to HD projectors/displays, wireless mirroring of display on smart TVs.

Cons: Less portable than 10.1 inch tablets

Other Thoughts: Great tablet. I use it for my lectures instead of whiteboard.
