good quality, great price
- Pros: No problems, worked great right out of the box. Zero dead pixels, zero bsod. All of my programs installed without a hitch. And After removing the junkware that comes with most laptops it runs even better.
- Cons: Cheap graphics card doesn't play games, but that's not what this laptop was made for. Also, comes with Vista Home Basic, it would be nice if it had Premium or Business.
- Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. This isn't a do it all without breaking a sweat kind of laptop. What you do get is a quality laptop at an unbeatable price.
Not so hot....
- Pros: Very very cheap, LCD not nearly as bad as some have described. Would have been a 'decent' everyday notebook if it had worked out of the box.
- Cons: VERY VERY VERY CHEAP build quality. ALL plastic. Not really something I would associate with typical Lenovo quality machines. Coming off of a Y530 and a Y650, this is total junk, but I thought it would cut it as a 'loaner' NB for a corporate customer. The touch pad arrived dead. Had to RMA for refund.
- Other Thoughts: Wish Lenovo would not get into this 'flea-market' segment. This will be the quickest way to destroying their reputation.
It's a shame. I would not buy another one even at the $379 price point. Sometimes you take a chance and end up being surprised in a positive way. Not this time...
Only half decent :(
- Pros: Cheap! I bought it for $379.99. Very good for all you cheapscates out there. If you are the type of person who could care less about quality and $$$ is the most important thing to you, then this is the laptop for you.
- Cons: LCD sucks! Had 2 dead pixels when it came in. crapped out on me on the first day. BSODs, then no post after 3 reboots. Called NewEgg to RMA it and they said they would check it out then issue me a refund. I said ok, went to rebuy another and it was taken out of my cart due to being out of stock seconds before I could reorder.
- Other Thoughts: Buy a Toshiba. NewEgg has had many deals on Toshibas with wonderfull specs for $399. This lenovo is just as cheap as they come. Cheap parts, cheap plastic, JUNK!
