Pros: pretty good business laptop. Has Windows XP Pro installed. The battery lasts almost 9 hours with the Wi-Fi on and screen at 60% brightness. LED backlit screen looks good. The Wi-Fi has a ridiculouslty good range. Touch pad is sweet. It's got a little LED work light for lighting up the keyboard. Built in software for automatic updates found all the newest driver updates and installed them. Keyboard is pretty decent. Fingerprint reader and security software are a nice touch. An acceptable minimum of trial junk software to get rid of. Nice flat black look is all business.

Cons: The battery in the back sticks out. Doesn't come with a laptop sleeve or any accesories. No built in webcam. Keyboard has a touch of flex, not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: For the price it's great. One of the executives at work wanted his new salesperson that he works closely with to have a laptop just like his Lenovo X300 (which rules) but cheaper. This works and they are pretty happy with it.

I like the "thinkvantage" button, it's the wide blue button at the top left of the keyboard. 1 press and it brings up a decent menu of self fix-it programs, including backup, recovery and software updates, but then it updated itself and now the button no longer works but I can still launch it from the Start menu.

Buy a laptop sleeve.
