Pros: Good price, adequate screen, rugged case, generally low heat emission

Cons: Cheap look, uncomfortable keyboard and touchpad, poor battery life

Other Thoughts: Shortcomings can easily be overlooked by low price. Excellent for general office work. Not enough power for latest games.

Pros: Great laptop for internet browsing and media. Comes preloaded with Windows 7 which is everything vista should have been. Quite fast for every day tasks. Light weight and looks good.

Cons: Monitor is a little too wide requiring a lot of scrolling when viewing websites. Not a gaming machine but that's to be expected at this price. Comes with a lot of obnoxious and unnecessary software that must be removed to avoid constant pop ups. The power cord is on the same side as the usb ports which makes using a corded mouse a little awkward. Keep in mind these are minor gripes.

Other Thoughts: This is a good, fast, basic laptop and is well worth the money.

Pros: DDR3 Memory. Very respectable speed, and boot time. Holiday price was under 4 bills (awesome). Decent battery life. Webcam. Decent screen (no bad pixels). Post bloatware removal, an amazingly fast laptop.

Cons: Some Bloatware needs removing. Not 802.11n. Only 10/100 LAN. Only 3 USB, and no HDMI output. In it's use, however, none of these limitations matter.

Other Thoughts: I bought three different manufacturer's units, for just under 4 bills each during the Holiday, each with different feature sets. This one didn't have Firewire, or Gigabit LAN, or 802.11n wireless, or HDMI out, but it WAS easily the fastest of the lot (all were the same CPU, and Windows 7). I'm not sure if they abbreviated the POST somehow, or if the HD (only 5400 RPM) was a particularly quick model, but this laptop was oddly fast for what it is. Just my two cents.

Pros: Bought two of these for Christmas and they are performing well for the price. The case is textured which I like - it keeps the slimy fingerprints from showing all the time. Speed is above average from my experience setting up other budget laptops for friends, and the Windows 7 seems much quicker than Vista. I haven't had any issues with the touchpad as some reviewers have mentioned either. Overall it is a great product for what it was meant for-simple computer use and internet surfing.

Cons: You have to burn your own restore software. No windows cd included.

Pros: The great price, good screen, roomy keyboard. At the price it was a great buy for my folks

Pros: Great machine for the price. Nice display, keyboard is roomy. Good battery life. Previous notebook was a Dell Inspiron 600. Windows 7 is great.

Cons: Touchpad isn't as bad as some of the reviews say, but can take a little getting used to. Web camera isn't great. Not sure I like widescreen resolution (causes more vertical scrolling on web pages).

Pros: This is the machine I was looking for for over a month. It was priced just right; it has the screen, disk, and memory that suited me; and it has a fast enough processor for my needs. It has a decent battery at 3.5 hours. It's functionality is great for my use as an office machine, and it does a decent job with movies. Good value from Newegg.

Cons: My only complaint is that the keyboard is a little stiff, especially for the left hand; I tend to miss letters at the far left. But if I pay attention it isn't a big enough problem to really complain about.

Other Thoughts: This is definitely not the quality of its IBM T-series forebears. But it is a very good machine. Time will tell about its quality. I connected a small Logitech laser mouse that works great. Those who complain about the connectors and lack of some functions and connectors just need to go up a notch on price.

Pros: Good laptop, fast and it was on sale for 450. Cannot beat the price.

Cons: It is not really a con, but trying to figure out Windows 7.
