4 out of 5 eggsDurable, economical laptop

Pros: Dependable, price, durable, battery life. I've had this laptop for 2 years and it's still going strong on the original battery. It's very sturdy and seems like it could take a beating. Mine has been cared for and I've been rewarded.

Cons: Weight, loud dvd drive, bare bones.
This thing is heavier than most most laptops i've used. The dvd drive is a bit on the loud side and there's only 2 USB ports. Can't complain for the price though

Other Thoughts: Too bad this is discontinued. I will probably be getting a Lenovo for my daughter since her Toshiba has had nothing but issues.

5 out of 5 eggs2 year review

Pros: workhorse, great value, dependable

Cons: battery might need to be replaced after less than 2 years of use even though its almost always used with power cord.

Other Thoughts: Got this for $380 and its been well worth it. Cannot match the value for dollar spent. Its been reliable and then some.

3 out of 5 eggsBasic, but gets the job done

Pros: Good, bright, large screen. Comes with Windows 7 already installed, has a webcam, which is rare at this price range and screen size. Intel Core2 processor is quick and 3GB of Ram allows for multitasking.

Cons: Very basic laptop. ONly 2 USB ports, 1 VGA port, headphone, microphone, and ethernet port. THat's all you get.

Other Thoughts: More USB ports would be nice, but for the money you cannot beat it.

5 out of 5 eggsIBM still knows how to do it

Pros: Built well! This thing is VERY solid and the hardware is amazing for the price. Screen is VERY bright.

Power cord is a 90 degree angle and has a nice snug snap in feel and swivels when laptop is moved. Keeping the power plug and reviver from breaking. This problem is very common among laptops.

Comes with face detection software for free.

Cons: Place meant of touch pad will often get hit by a thumb/hand while typing until you get use to it. This can move were your typing and get annoying.

Other Thoughts: We use this compute to drive a projector and it dose it along with 3 other heavy programs at the same time with no problem. Very clear broad casting.

IBM (Lenovo) is one of the few still knows how to make a good laptop. Most companies over price for there hardware unlike Lenovo. Even if this computer is "to weak" for your needs look at some more of the Lenovo/think pad line.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The wife loves it and we have had no problems with it. It is her first lap top and she thinks it is great.

Cons: Don't have any.

Other Thoughts: I don't like the fact that half of the HD is used for a recovery drive.

4 out of 5 eggsCan't Beat the Price

Pros: PRICE PRICE PRICE! Can't believe how much laptop you can get for under $500 bucks. Fast, Not overloaded with freebies & trial software (Other than your basics)

Cons: DVD drive is VERY loud. Only 2 USB ports

Other Thoughts: I bought this for business use for an employee who sometimes works from home. It was more than sufficent, very basic, "No Frills" but at the same time you can't really say you're missing anything either. Any complaints could all be attributed to "Not Wanting to Pay More" I know what I could get for another $100-$200 bucks or so but this had everything I need.

Great Shipping Newegg! (Two days ahead of schedual)

5 out of 5 eggsgreat pc

Pros: this is by far best bang for the buck you can get. works great with nice software. but like most they also include trials which just ticks me off. Have had zero problems with this pc.
Bought this in march. Not a Gaming pc but perfect
for any one that isn't into intense gaming. plenty quick enough and 100$cheaper than comparable pc's

Cons: its heavy , I have other pc's that are of same power and this is about 8lbs compared to4 for those. is that worth 100 bucks is the question.

Other Thoughts: newegg was awesome, oredered on tuesday and recieved it on wednesday with no shipping charge. Great job newwegg every thing I have bought from newegg has been what I want and works great. will check out newegg b4 I make any more puchase's, so far best deal I have seen.

5 out of 5 eggsLenovo G530 Laptop

Pros: For the money, this is a very good laptop. I've installed all my software, most of it open source, and everything is smooth sailing. The laptop is fast enough with the dual-core processor and 3 Gb Ram, it plays movies, it's light, and the wireless connections are very stable.

Cons: no issuses so far. gotta keep my finger prints off the case.

Other Thoughts: I've been watching Newegg and others for a deal on a laptop for several months. I decided on this one in about 10 minutes.
I help support about 300 Lenovo desktops and IBM Xservers where I work, I've had good experience with their reliability and any warranty claims were simple and quick.
