3 out of 5 eggsReview after 5 months

Pros: 1. Very light
2. Great design
3. Easy to use

Cons: 1. Didn't realize that it does not come with a CD drive as I thought it was standard, so beware if you need one.
2. One of my USB drive somehow broke and I've only had for 5 months and get an annoying error I can't seem to get rid of every time i restart my computer.
3. The sound goes off occasionally during movies via netflix, while listening to Itunes or when i'm playing online games. I usually have to restart the computer or play with the sound controls.

Other Thoughts: Overall the computer does what I need it to do, and works well. I think some of the glitches just need to be worked out.

4 out of 5 eggsIncredible battery life

Pros: 15-20 hours of battery life is incredible. great size, light weight. Got it on sale 6 months ago for $549, which was a great buy.

Cons: The bezel around the screen is separating at the upper right corner in a 2 inch section. I pop it back into place, and when I close the lid it separates again.

Other Thoughts: This computer should be sold with a wireless-N adapter. I just bought a mini PCI express wireless-N adapter to install for $25

5 out of 5 eggsGood for what it does

Pros: -ThinkPad/IdeaPad brand reputation
-Crisp display that's larger than a Netbook
-Long battery life
-Light, easy to move around
-USB ports on both sides
-No issues under Ubuntu 10.04

Cons: -No CD/DVD-rom drive; I thought I wouldn't need one, but there are times when it is a lifesaver
-Screen + border around the screen love fingerprints
-Fan makes a lot of noise if laptop is turned at an angle
-No dedicated graphics

Other Thoughts: Boss ordered me this as a work laptop (off of Newegg, mind you). It's a nice computer, but I could have gotten much of the functionality, albeit at slower speeds, from a netbook. Still, I'm not complaining....

Cons: - no dedicated graphics, but then again no computer at this price has them (they're $1000+)

2 out of 5 eggsNot typical Lenovo

Pros: Light, Nice Screen, Crisp Color...

Cons: No ROM, Poor Battery Design Etc.

Other Thoughts: I purchased and supported hundreds of IBM/Lenovo Models...
These models just seem to be a nightmare. Latest model I have replaced the battery 3 times through Lenovo and backlight on LED screen kicked the bucket...not worth this kind of money... I hate to say it but this model is no better than an Acer.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat

Pros: light, 8+ hr battery, fast

Cons: not much really

Other Thoughts: no complains aside from all the garbage that comes preinstalled. i wiped the drive and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Professional x64 and its really fast.
