5 out of 5 eggsOverall.........a good buy

Pros: as the other reviewers point out... this is a lot of bang for the bucks durability and feature wise

Cons: a bit of a white elephant, (but that is why the price is so low)in that it has a 64 bit processor which can address a whole buncha memory but only has 512... and also ships with a 32 bit operating system.
Also gets very hot.

Other Thoughts: Get a cooling pad with this baby!!!

I am putting linux on it and upgrading the memory.... new stuff in the memory area has to be on the way.
kinda think this is some kinda spooky surplus machine

5 out of 5 eggsBest laptop - durable

Pros: Feels real durable. Many features unseen on competitors laptops such as turning wireless off and on with a physical button. High quality is felt on every piece. Made for the paranoid security freak, combine this with the key lock and combination lock carrying bag, and add in the bios password and fingerprint scanner on this baby, the NSA would say this is paranoid!

Cons: Stock hard drive is SLOW. It really at times makes this feel like a crippled Pentium 2 during load times. Screams during application operation though

Other Thoughts: Buy an after-market hard drive, and this thing is practically an old school IBM in its build quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Book at an Awesome Price

Pros: My company has bought one of these already and will be buying a small number of them this coming year to replace older systems. The performance is great, the system specs are good for our use, and the included options are very nice (card reader, PC CardBus & ExpressCard slots, 802.11b/g, and Bluetooth!). It even has a biometric reader!

Cons: For roughly the same price there is another nx6125 with a Turion64 ML-30 (1.6GHz w/ 1MB cache) compaired to this one's ML-28 (1.6GHz 512KB cache).
Battery life is not quite as high as a Centrino-based system.

Other Thoughts: All-in-all, you can't beat this deal. You get a fairly powerful professional-series notebook with all the lovely features AND a three-year warranty for about the same price as a mid-end consumer system.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: Decent speed and good keyboard, plus hard to beat a 3 year warranty on a sub-$1k notebook.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: I ordered 2 of these 2 weeks ago. I replaced a 3 year old compaq evo and a 3 year old Insipron 4100. So far I am very happy. The keyboard has a nice feel. The wireless works great. The AMD processor seems fast. Great value.
