Better Without Vista

Pros: This thing looks sweet.It's got a large screen that is not to bad to look at either.4 gigs of ram,250gb hdd,web cam,a remote wich i thought was prety nifty,Long battery life.the list goes on and on.Oh and I like that it can take two hard drives so that s allways nice.It's worked great since first power up.Just a pleasure,Very user frendly.

Cons: Make sure u have the wipedown cloth handy every time you use this cuz this thing shows fingerprints like it's part of the C.S.I. crew.And the mouse pad,when its dry its to dry,and when it loosens up from the oils on your finger its way to sloppy and you have to wipe it and your finger off.The hard drive space is crippled from all the bloatware and the HP recovery disk.Not to mention vista but everyone knows that story.

Other Thoughts: I bout the AMD counterpart of this laptop with the HD3200 gpu from a local retailer.This thing runs good with the setup it comes with.But if you can switch to xp or "TEST" windows 7 like I am this thing screams.Going from vista to 7 really woke this thing up.was finaly able to play hd content without a problem,overall responce of everything was just better.So like the title sez better without vista.Overall a great laptop it just had bad software.

Pros: The specs on the laptop itself are great, I hear about fingerprints but I don't really mind. the keyboard is awesome, the sound is wonderful. I love the look and feel of it. As mentioned before, the webcam works beautifully and its got a spiffy design to it.

Cons: I haven't even had this laptop for 24 hours and the wifi bugged out. we spent an hour with hp tech support and ended up having to delete and reinstall the drivers. You have no idea how upset I was/am.
Also, there is a load of bloatware, and vista processes take up so much space. I'd stick to xp on this. Oh and the scrolly thing on the mouse pad doesnt work

Other Thoughts: I'd buy it if you're planning on doing anything but gaming, graphics card isn't too great but is ok for daily use. My problems with it could just be my bad luck, switch to xp. all in all its a good comp

Great Laptop

Pros: The Laptop runs pretty fast, battery life is great, I was surprised at the built in web cam resolution which is great compared to stand alone web cams. I already added a 2nd Hard drive which is a big plus on this laptop.

Cons: I agree with other users in which the laptop attracts fingerprints but that's minimal to me.

Other Thoughts: I am a computer tech and I also do DJ on the side. The Laptop comes with Vista 64 bits but I had to reinstall Windows Vista with 32 bit since some of my DJ apps and hardware does not support 64 Bit yet, and the laptop still runs great on 32 bits. After installing Vista SP1, my laptop can see the whole 4GBs of memory.
