Pros: Same as before

Cons: Nothing other than keyboard layout and CD drive positioning.

Other Thoughts: I would like to apologize to MSI. After taking a stab in the dark with the drivers on the MSI website, I realized that they include the 64-bit version of the drivers on the same package as the 32-bit version, although the download link only shows that 32-bit drivers are available. This is still the best laptop I've ever used, and my deepest apologies go out to MSI for my rant. I still think they should specify that 64-bit drivers are available instead of leaving us in the dark.

Windows 7 x64 runs great so far. Still need to restart after installing the drivers though.

Pros: I purchased this in June, 2009 and have been very pleased with it so far. It is very fast and downlaods and displays even very graphic intensive web pages very quickly. The display quality and clarity is excellent. It hooks up very easily to an HDTV without going through a lot of display issues. The wifi is really good and connects almost instantly. For the money, I don't believe you can do any better.

Cons: Vista is obviously an issue but I don't think you can blame the machine for that. Wait six months and switch to Windows 7. The mouse touchpad is very poor. I disabled it and use a mouse with no issues. The documentation you receive with it is not very good. I had to email MSI twice with questions, but did receive prompt answers.

While it comes with 4 gigs of RAM, it only uses 3 and the other gig is allocated to the video card.

Other Thoughts: I bought this prior to the rebate so I haven't had any issues with that.

Pros: Same as my previous review.

Cons: MSI Rebate is nonexistent, and no drivers for 64-bit operating system on MSI support page.

Other Thoughts: I give 5 eggs to the laptop, but MSI gets a -1 egg. I submitted my rebate with everything they requested, and all the site says is that my rebate is till in its first stage (I submitted it on July 10th so I know).

That aside, there is another problem with MSI. I looked around for 64-bit drivers for this laptop, and guess what? MSI does not have any. And I'm not going to risk installing a 64-bit Windows when the drivers for the webcam, print reader, Bluetooth, or Eco Mode aren't available for 64-bit OS's.

I'm thoroughly disappointed in MSI. They make good products but have absolutely no customer support, or they are just doing it all wrong. My loyalty to this brand is gone. If a company is going to offer a rebate, then they should at least try and honor their promise. Pathetic, MSI, pathetic.
