5 out of 5 eggsWorks in an MSI Wind U160

Pros: Runs better than I expected. Got it because I need a cheap light weight laptop with good battery life and netbooks were pretty much designed around that concept.

Got it for basic web browsing and note taking, and based on some reviews on different sites I expected it to barely handle that. Seems to run fine for that and can even handle 720p video (only tried .mp4, don't know about other formats) and some lower spec games (Grand Theft Auto 3 and Half Life 1 run fine, slight hiccup here and there but definitely playable.)

The keyboard is nice to type on. I went to several different stores and tried the keyboards on several netbooks and the chiclet keyboard is, in my opinion, easier to use and seems slightly more durable.

The long battery life (8 1/2 to 9 1/4 hours) combined with the light weight and small size make it an easy thing to stick in a back pack and use it all day long.

Was also able to install a 2gb stick of G.Skill without any problems.

Cons: Windows 7 Starter is limited to say the least. I was planning on upgrading to Home Premium or installing Ubuntu Netbook Edition (runs off a USB stick, couldn't recognize my wireless network though, don't know if that's a driver glitch or problems with my router, too lazy to look into it) soon.

What's up with the gloss? It's everywhere. After a day or two the shiny finish on the back of the screen and the screen bezel turned to a dull shine. Would have preferred some sort of matte finish.

Other Thoughts: Don't expect much and it'll be better than expected, if that makes any sense. For web browsing and note taking, this laptop is more than enough. If you are planning on converting several videos, compressing/decompressing a large number of files, and trying to play Crysis all at the same time, of course it's going to throw a fit and drop everything.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for travel

Pros: Long battery life 9hrs+ depending on the brightness setting. Works great with Windows 7 Ultimate. 3 USB ports are a plus. Love the 250gb storage. This machine stays relatively cool.

Cons: Not that i could find.

Other Thoughts: The battery elevates the machine slightly towards you which is nice to keep the air flow for heat, it does not bother me but ppl seem to not like it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat netbook with amazing battery life

Pros: - The battery life is amazing. With brightness at 50%, it lasted me 9 hours of constant use.
- Extremely light
- Chiclet keyboard is a treat
- Attractive design. The glowing logo on the lid is a nice touch.
- 802.11n
- Bluetooth
- 1.3M Webcam takes clear pictures
- 4-in-1 Card Reader (SD card reader would do, but it's nice addition)
- Windows 7 Professional and Ubuntu Netbook Remix run like a charm

Cons: - Windows 7 Starter + bloatware that comes pre-installed
- The corner tap method of scrolling on the touchpad takes a little getting used to

4 out of 5 eggsLight, Battery Lasts, great

Pros: Light, quick to load, long battery life, used it for a good 4 hrs, and had more battery life to go. Have not had a chance to see how long it really lasts yet. I like the feel of the chiclet keyboard, and it does not feel too cramped. The bumpy touchpad is different but it works well. It also looks very sleek. I also like the fact that it does have Bluetooth.

Cons: I wish there was an HDMI out, but I wouldnt use it that much anyway. I am still in the process of installing Ubuntu Netbook Remix as a dual boot feature of a SD card. From what I have been able to do, it works well (still working on getting the wifi to work).

Other Thoughts: This netbook is great for someone who needs something light, relatively thin, long battery life, and aesthetically pleasing. The touchpad will take a little to get used to. I like when you can just swipe on the side of the touchpad to scroll through things. With this touchpad you scroll by tapping either the top right or bottom right of the touchpad.
