Pros: i have owned many desktop and laptop computers. by far, this is the best laptop computer i have owned. i have purchased 3 or 4 computers now from and they are alwas fast shipping with good packaging and a great bbb review status. i would say the best place to order quality computer parts and at the best price would be right here on the sight u r currently on.
this laptop is very fast and the battery last pretty good for the size of this computer. on 1/3 display brightness i can get at least 2-3 hours of browsing time on this bad boy before the bat runs out. it is very heavy, but i knew that and the display, the specs, and the video gaming capabilities on this thing are just as good on my gaming desktop that has a hexacore amd and one of hte best ati graphic cards in the past year.
if u have the money get somthign like this computer. there are a lot of things that came with this that i wont use like blueray just because the movies are too expensive (imo). this is the first time that i have owned a msi so i got the extended warranty for basic manufacturing defects that might happen. if u r going to buy something this expensive then u should get a warranty too which is peace of mind. good lukc in your shopping exp. oh yea, the other place that i love shopping at online is walmart lol. they are awesome too...

Cons: having some trouble with the internet explorer somtimes with a window pop up stating somethign about adobe script failure. this is a software issue im certain, that will need some diggin to figure out the fix. happens once in a while (20-40% of time) when on explorer.

Other Thoughts: if u don't need a gaming unit on a laptop then don't buy this one. u can get a 500$ computer on that will be fast enough to browse and do basic stuff and get battery times of 5-8hrs..just research it :)

Pros: Good outside design.
Easy to see and use keyboard.
Multi-touch mouse pad(gestures)
Bright screen
LOUD (for a laptop)
Plenty of USB.

Cons: Nothing off hand, maybe I can modify later if needed...

Other Thoughts: Loads up quick.
For 1000 less I got this over an Alienware (18" screen and dual 680s) but I had a 675M in my Samsung and this 680 doubles the DX11 benchmarks, and adds at least 10FPS in The Secret World on extreme(47FPS) and 6FPS in Crysis 2 with DX11 and high texture patch (37FPS average).
Kepler shines over Fermi!!

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says.

Pros: -Relatively inexpensive for the hardware and quality of the build you're receiving. Comparable gaming laptops of other brands could end up costing you anywhere from $400 to $1000 more.

-One of the, currently, few laptops with a GeForce 680M inside, which is completely worth upgrading for. I was skeptical of getting anything higher than a 675, because the price is much higher, but I can honestly say without a doubt that it has been worth it.

-Runs all games smoothly on highest settings, including more intensive games such as Skyrim, L.A. Noire (big one on shadows, subtle facial renderings), The Sims 3, World of WarCraft: Mists of Pandaria, and League of Legends - all at around 60 FPS. The FPS is relatively stable, though I have seen upwards of 100+ in WoW: MoP in some cases, and this is with everything maxed. I rarely see any drops to below 55, if ever.

-The keyboard issues that some others have claimed to have experienced don't seem to exist for me, so perhaps I lucked out on that. The keyboard is responsive and the keys are relatively easy to press. The backlighting, which was a large selling point for me being an aesthete as I am, is beautiful, especially in the dark, but looks good even during the day or in bright lighting.

-Having had a gaming laptop before this one, I am pleased to say the cooling is very good on this laptop. The exhaust grilles are located well, and cool the graphics card very efficiently. I sit next to my boyfriend at a very small desk while I game, and he has no trouble resting his hand next to the exhaust. On my previous laptop, his hand would very quickly heat up.

-The screen is phenomenal - perhaps I only say this due to the small size of my previous laptop's screen, but I love the matte display as opposed to glossier displays.

-The touch buttons at the top of the laptop are very convenient, especially if you want to ramp up the speed of the fan during heavy gaming. The power button is very easy to press, unlike some other power buttons. This is not to say it is easy to press on accident - quite the contrary, as it is in the top of the laptop, right beneath the display.

-The integrated and dedicated graphics chips seamlessly transition in the vast majority of cases.

-The brushed aluminum case of the laptop is a nice change, as it will not easily pick up scratches unlike glossy plastic.

-The onboard speakers are really incredible - I have not heard sound quality like this from a laptop before. They're really something.

-SSD is lightning fast, and the Super RAID makes load times extremely quick.

Cons: Small, nitpicky things, as these cons tend to be. They do not detract from my enjoyment of the laptop at all, so that is why the laptop still retains 5 Eggs from me. I feel that it is a very incredible piece of hardware, and these two, small critiques are more a result of my OCD and desire to keep everything pristine.

-The plastic around the SteelSeries keyboard is glossy and is prone to light scratching. A slightly abrasive cloth will scratch this, so be careful what you wipe it down with.

-Picks up fingerprints very readily, unless you are wearing gloves or have no oils in your skin.

Other Thoughts: -Not much to add, other than what was added earlier. Be aware that the integrated graphics chip sometimes takes over for less intensive games, such as The Sims 3 - it will cut down your performance, unless you manually go into the Nvidia control panel and set the priority for the game manually. The only reason I mention it here is because it took me a little while to figure out. Fortunately, the power button changes in color from white to orange when the dedicated card kicks in.

-This laptop is pretty decently hefty - about 9 pounds or so, or 14 with the power brick. This is not a con, however - if you are buying this laptop, you should be aware that this is a desktop replacement. If you want a thin, light notebook, go for an ultrabook - this is not the laptop for you. This is for serious gamers who will put it through its paces.

-The touch buttons are very precise - you must tap directly on top of the icon, which is both a pro and con, so I will leave it here. It is a pro because accidental touches are near impossible. It is a con because if you are not precise, you will have to tap again - not really that large of an annoyance at all, when compared to what this machine can do.

-Overall, probably the best investment I've made in the last five or so years. I'm very pleased with it, and I feel that those who purchase it will be as well.

Happy gaming!
