Pros: this is a good laptop for everyday tasks and would be great for the young student. I certainly wouldn't get this for a re-placement for my desk top

Cons: The Battery life I think is terrible 1 hr tops

Other Thoughts: Would be nice if it came with a car adapter, they cost $90 to buy one, kinda pricey

Pros: Great LCD screen
Good memory level and Windows 7 has proven easy to learn
Fair speakers
Fair Battery life
Numeric Keypad is a big plus

Cons: slippery, glassy shell makes for unsightly fingerprints, and easy to slip out of hand
keyboard is a little too "flat" feeling - not intuitive to my fingers for typing
No bundled software

Pros: Nice screen, good video card performance.

Cons: Battery life isn't all that great.

Other Thoughts: I got this "open box" from newegg. The box was still sealed with factory tape, and everything was still in its original bag. Great laptop for the price. Plays half life 2 with all high settings, and the original bioshock at medium settings.

Pros: Decent gaming capabilities, Great for design software (adobe), and overall a very solid laptop.

Cons: could have used some better hardware but for the price...

Other Thoughts: very glad I grabbed this laptop. For gaming capabilities I can run Left for dead 2 on mostly high, mass effect on medium, and borderlands on low with no problems.

Pros: For the price when i saw it it was good but not awesome. I ordered 2 of them for people and deleted the junk and bloat-ware that it comes with. The ATI Radeon HD 4200 handles nicely for a casual user and 1 or 2 games. Newegg has yet to fail me so I will keep on buying periodically once a month for items.

Cons: The hard drive could have been a 7200 rpm model since it stutters with loading or having to much open. Perhaps it might be the HD4200. All my orders have be re confirmed all the time, maybe its just me

Other Thoughts: It could have been better but its just good but newegg gets all 5 eggs since nothings gone bad yet. The delivery service should be better, the boxes come out all badly damaged but i suspect that is why it was a box inside a box so newegg. Thank you newegg no longer do i have to visit stores and listen to their (cra_p)

Pros: Wide-screen. The screen is bright. comes with Win 7 home premium - Webcam, 5-in-1 card reader. Switch to turn the keypad & wireless on and off.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Its a basic laptop. Good for browsing, basic office applications, can handle medium graphics games etc. I wouldn't recommend this for serious gamers or software programmers that need lot of beef.

Well designed layout of a full keyboard
Card reader, webcam, dvd burner, nice descrete video for this price range, windows 7 /64bit OS

Cons: Glossy, shows finger prints and smudges.
low resolution though this isnt just an hp thing. Most laptop screens in this size range only have that resolution.

Other Thoughts: Newegg rocks and the HP is running rock solid which is to be expected for some time to come.
The son loves this gift he got for Christmas.

Pros: Great laptop for the money.

Cons: i wish they just put the maximum allowed memory of 4GB of ram instead of the 3GB it comes with

Pros: great computer.

Cons: the monitor is a little bright.

Pros: Great screen looks crisp.
Pleasantly suprised by the graphics card. I could run CODMW2 at 30 fps at mostly High settings. That's all I'll ever need from this laptop.

Cons: So far.. The only things I've noticed is mediocre battery life.. You could always buy a better battery of course.. The battery doesn't bother me too much seeing as I'm mostly at home and when I am away from home I'm usually near an outlet.(I work at a Performing Arts Center)

Other Thoughts: Well.. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but.. I'm a gamer.. And I take screenshots a lot.. To take a screenshot you have to press the function key and the home key.. This isn't easy to do with one hand... Seeing as they are on opposite sides of the keyboard.. I know that the average user doesn't take screenshots too frequently so.. It's not really that big of a deal.. Just an inconvenience to gamers...

Other than that.. This is the perfect laptop for me.. I would recommend it to anyone.. It's up to date with current technology, and it looks great. Plus it's cheap.. lol
