Pros: Good CPU, 4Gb RAM, 320 GB HDD, Good web camera, Win 7 Pro. Nice design.

Cons: It's better with Windows 7 64bit instead of 32 bit, but is fine.

Pros: This is my first laptop and so far I do love it. It's fast, the keyboard is easy to use and the screen is large enough to work on all day. I expected to pay more for what I needed but this HP is perfect. NewEgg was great to work with. I got recommendations from friends before ordering and they were right.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: Fast, light, good battery time with 6 cell included, but may buy the 8 cell one as well. Bright crisp screen, 4 USB ports + HDMI are nice. The 10 # key on the keyboard is convenient, just takes some getting used to from past laptops layout where the 'delete' 'end' and pg up / down' keys are. Built in speakers are adequate. Solid Power in plug off the top left side is a good improvement from past HP laptops I've owned.

Cons: Hard drive only accessed by disassembling keyboard. Keys themselves are a bit funky for me, but perhaps not so for others. OK as well once you get used to them. Touch pad mouse is offset left which is a bit different, but not bad once you're used to it and the left/right mouse click is also an odd feel / takes more umphh than I like to engage, but again not that big a deal, especially since I'm using a USB mouse most of the time anyway. Shiny black plastic cover gets smudgy easily & I find mysself wiping it off frequently. Also shows up dust, crumbs and other specs easily between the keys, so buy a can of air blast with this to keep it looking good if that's a concern for you. Overall case solid feel is OK when closed & carrying, however the screen section is easily bendable in it's plastic frame when open. Not a big concern for me, but others may want a more ruggedized feel to their laptop

Other Thoughts: My first W7 laptop & needed W7 PRO 32bit OS at a reasonable price & this definitely fits that bill. With 4GB ram 2.1mhz Dual core & a 320gb 7400 rpm hdd, it's plenty fast and a good overall value. I'll buy at least one more for redundancy & keep it cloned with the first since it is mission critical for my work & life to have my laptops 100% & ready to swap at a moments notice. Hard drive access is the only pain in that regard, but only takes a couple minutes after you get used to it.
