5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Laptop

Pros: HP, I3 processor, 4 GB of Ram, 500 GB hard drive, HD Cam, USB 3.0, HDMI, Windows 7, and 10 key. I use to edit videos on the fly, manage remote computers/servers, and build website. I am still very impressed with it after a more than a year. I recently ordered newer model for one of my clients and after getting it prepped for them I am impressed with it also. It don't look like the quality has gone down at all. I love the shell on this laptop. It doesn’t show dirt or a scuff like a black shell does, and the monitor is anti-glare with a wide viewing angle.

Cons: Only 2GB of RAM but that is a simple fix

Other Thoughts: Mine has survived several trips out of the country, daily use, and an 80LB Boxer By the name of Cyberspace pulling it off a coffee table.

5 out of 5 eggsDo your homework, and you will buy this!

Pros: Well appointed laptop for the $$$

Cons: Big deal, I had to reformat and get rid of bloatware when I upgraded the ram to 8GB. This lappy is wicked fast and can hunt! Just cut through the whiner's crying over the bloatware... you're buying a computer, not a car.

Other Thoughts: I spent a good two weeks researching and reading every review on the HP ProBook line. I got this Thanksgiving for $474 and added 8GB of memory for a ridiculous $32. I called HP, told them I was upgrading the memory and needed 64bit Win7 and they sent me media (OS & Drivers) gratis. Software came in three days, Fedex! Just dropped in the ram upgrade tonight and I am customizing this beautiful machine while listening to Brahm's 4th. The sound is typical of laptops but plug in a pair of ear buds and difference is profound. Very much like the action of the keyboard but I prefer a wireless mouse so the keypad is no issue. This unit is built very well and I have no issues with the screen and its resolution. People must be expecting HiDef for under $500? You won't be disappointed with this machine... I have a "Stink Pad" (IBM) that is issued at my work place and this machine has it beat, feature rich and costing much, much less.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: osx fully supported

Cons: SD card isn't in all the way, great way to lose data.
like always too much junk comes with the preinstalled os.
don't like the directional keys.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: This a well built, beautiful laptop. Performance is solid. The keyboard is very nice and no issues with the touch pad. It isn't too heavy and has solid construction.

It is a very classy, good performing, quality laptop. more than you would expect for this price.

Cons: Wow the bloatware; it is amazing how much junk comes on this machine. We have resold about 1 week of these over the last couple of months. It takes a couple of hours to truly clean them up. We even remove all the HP security junk, we left the security stuff on one system thinking there might be some value add and it caused problems. Trust me remove it all or better yet start over:

32Bit, obviously no eggs off as it states this, but really? why? See other thoughts:

Other Thoughts: New plan; just started this and it works beautifully; first get a hold of a 64 bit OEM Windows 7 Professional recovery or installation disk. A Dell disk works great as does a OEM generic disk. Use disk and blow everything away and install a fresh copy. Yes you have to get the network drivers and load them, and you lose the finger print scanner (so what).

The license sticker is under the battery, use that to install and it activates perfectly. same licensing regardless if it is 32bit or 64bit.

Also for $15 bucks you can add another 2 Gig RAM and with 64bit you can make this the model that sells for $100.00 more.

Just say "NO" to bloatware and craplettes! Join the reload revolution :)

5 out of 5 eggsWOW! What a nice laptop!

Pros: Has a great feel. I didn't want something wimpy, so if it's a little heavier than some, that's fine by me. Keyboard has a good feel to it. Easier to type on than I thought it might be as this is my first laptop. I also got the 64 bit restore disc from HP at no charge. Very easy to load. I just installed 8 GB of Corsair memory, also purchased here at NewEgg. Makes a big difference! Thanks NewEgg for sending a 10% off Corsair memory in the email last week! Wish there was an upgrade for the video, but I'm not a gamer, not even on the desktop unit, so this will do everything I need.
Would purchase again in a heartbeat!

Cons: Bloatware is a hog, but easy to get rid of when you do a fresh install with the restore disc. Just don't load it back in!

Other Thoughts: If you need a laptop, just get this! You won't be disappointed!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bang for the Buck

Pros: Ordered two of these laptops for use as dental x-ray gear. I'm happy they came with 32-bit windows, it's required for my purposes. I couldn't find any other laptops that came close to this in price. It's a ProBook, not a Pavillion so it's meant for business. It comes with Win 7 Pro, not home edition.

Cons: Sure it comes with some bloatware, but that's how HP is able to sell it at a lower price. If you have problems using the control panel to uninstall software then maybe you should look elsewhere. 2GB of RAM is a little low, but I don't have any complaints about it's performance.

Other Thoughts: I'll continue to buy these unless I find a better deal on a business-grade i3 laptop with Win7 Pro. I couldn't find anything from Dell that was even close in price.

5 out of 5 eggsWow im blown away

Pros: After the bloatware if off this computer is fast and handles all my video and photography editing software. I love it...not much of a gaming computer with current graphic card, but i dont really play games.

Cons: bloatware but just stype msconfig in start area then go to the startup settings and you can choose want you want and dont want . Thats my only complaint...but its a easy fix

Other Thoughts: Id definitively recommend this laptop. great for business and all round use and not to heavy

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice laptop for the money. I ordered the 64 bit version of Win 7 from HP support (at no cost) and reloaded windows. The needed drivers are available at the HP support site. I also added 2GB of additional memory. It runs fast and performs well. It looks and performs alot like a business class machine.

Cons: The initial configuration came loaded with a lot of unwanted software. Also adding memory was a bit of a pain, due to the form factor.

Other Thoughts: Nice machine, go for it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Decent battery life, nice keyboard, decent sized touchpad with multitouch gestures, inexpensive, feels very solid, looks nice, has a little light by the power port to show if the battery is charged, has a USB 3.0 port, the fan vent isn't on the bottom, easy to get to the RAM, doesn't seem to get very hot, the Sandy Bridge graphics are good enough for any source game and others.

Cons: The bloatware isn't that bad, but there was some. I just did a fresh install anyway.

Other Thoughts: This does not feel like a $500 laptop. It feels and looks like something that should cost more. If you're looking for a laptop in this price range, I very much recommend this one.
