1 out of 5 eggsissues HP bloat ware, and more issues

Pros: bright screen, price, Blu ray drive

Cons: I've had this out of the box for about 6 hours now, spent a long while making a recovery flash drive, then started striping some of the HP and norton junk off, decided to take a break and see how it would do playing a blu ray. IMO a new laptop right out of the box aught to be able to play a blu ray right away. This does not, but its late, I will try looking for different player software, the HP media player keeps saying "push play" and then asks if it should check for updates.

Other Thoughts: I feel pretty suckered into buying this model since the blu-ray drive was the thing that pulled me to it, but the amount of fight in trying to make this thing play just doesn't seem like $400 was a good deal.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good battery life, bright screen, adequate processor and video chip.

Cons: Matte finish keys show fingerprints. Glossy screen shows smudges.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad deal.
