Pros: Monster machine for the price (bought a refurb on sale $450)- no issues, worked great out of the box. Loaded a fresh Windows 7 ultimate x64 on it with no hassles, just make sure you have an sp1 ISO or keep the drivers handy.

Cons: Doesn't cook or do dishes.

Other Thoughts: I'd buy another one no questions asked. Toss some SSD in here, and you've got a beast of a machine.

Pros: Aluminum finish is great, helped with heat a lot. Ran cool, overclocked mine to 2.6 ghz.

Cons: Can't run bf3? ondie gpu can not be overclocked.

Other Thoughts: Pay the extra 30-40 dollars for the model with a dedicated gpu, while not much more powerful, it is a significant improvement none the less (6750m)

Pros: Able to play all but the most graphic intensive games. Great price. My house has 3 of these now.

Cons: Small problem with the audio drivers. Reinstalled the driver and it works fine.

Cons: Issue with the display. Even minor bumps (like typing) would cause the screen to "wave" in certain areas. I didn't have it long enough to find any other problems. Sent back for replacement and got refunded instead.

Pros: I have had this laptop now for about 2 months. I have to say for the price it is a incredible machine. I was a bit timid about buying it normally being a INTEL guy. The cpu is amazing and the graphics card is stellar.

Cons: Lots of HP bloatware, but its easy to get rid of.

Other Thoughts: The couple games that I have tried worked great, World of Warcraft, Diablo III and Everquest Live. With some tweaking I can get well over 4 hours on a charge with light use (webpage, music, youtube).

Pros: Great build, bright screen, keyboard is awesome, touchpad is smooth unlike previous laptops, LED around the touchpad, great performance from A8 chip, 8GB of ram, GPU is awesome for FSX, price, stays cool, Overclockable.

Cons: Battery life

Other Thoughts: Great laptop for the price, I got it for $400. I was looking at another retail for the same exact computer except with an A6 chip and 6GB of ram for $580+8% NYC tax. Got it here from Newegg for much cheaper and delivered in one day. I love it, it looks exactly like a brand new laptop, no scratches except one on the side that looks as if someone dropped it on asphalt. Battery life is ok, gets me about 2 hours with 50% brightness and regular web browsing.

Performs great in games, I brought to play a couple games, Microsoft Flight Simulator X runs on Ultra-High settings, and gets me 20FPS. The A8 chip can also be overclocked as well which is great, the laptop runs cool and never gets hot.

To sum it all up, this is GREAT deal, I'm so happy I found this. Works perfectly fine. Bloatware wasn't a problem if you used HP's recovery install and selected Minimal install (installs drivers only and essential software). I love this and Newegg's prices and shipping speed from the ware house i

Cons: Defective AC power.
Hard locks at random times when using AC power (~5 minutes to an hour)
Fine when on batteries, but they only provide about two out of the promised four hours of run time.

Other Thoughts: Got this for my son's graduation. It looked to be in good condition except that the access panel on the bottom was only partially attached.
Can't use it on AC power, which makes it pretty limited in value.

Pros: Great speed and great stats for the price. Very speedy and runs everything I have tried to run great. Works well for a decent gaming computer. Worked right of the box, no issues like some of the others reviewed.

Cons: It comes with an absolute ton of HP bloatware. Took a while to get rid it. There was a small scratch near the touchpad upon delivery but nothing worth taking off an egg for.

Pros: Sturdy

Cons: Defective screen, very dirty and wore even for refurbished item.

Other Thoughts: Price for this item is great, but the condition of the laptop when I received it is bad even for refurbished items. Then the screen starts to flickering in small horizontal lines after about 2 days of usage.

Pros: Bought it for my mum for mothers day. Great deal for the money. Decent hardware setup. 8 Gigs of ram is a lot of memory, The A8 APU features a good graphics processor (have not tested it). Fingerprint reader, 640G is plenty of storage space so on and so forth..

Cons: Once saw a little bit of dis-figuration on the top of the monitor, it was barely noticeable and have not seen it again. Piano Black finish attracts a lot of dirt and smudges, webcam is not so great

Other Thoughts: It is an overkill for normal user but the price is unbelievable. Haven't done much detailed testing and bench-marking but things look good now. Only gripe is the webcam, for video chat etc it is just fine but don't expect to get great pictures and videos out of it. Will do an updated review after more testing.
