4 out of 5 eggsLots of bang for the buck

Pros: Great display, sleek exterior, good amount of RAM. 2 USB 3.0 Ports, full size HDMI port.

Replacing the hard drive with an SSD increased battery life, and made it MUCH faster

Cons: Slow out of the box, could have included full software disk. Ridiculous how much a pain it is to replace the hard drive. almost a complete dissasemnbly of the laptop, including removing the keyboard, then the entire palm rest. However, I will say, it's a very simple process, just leaves a lot of room for scratches removing the keyboard until you understand how they are snapped in. Highly recommend finding a youtube demo how to do this.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a machine to just track my cameras, and display on a 47 inch TV (4 security cameras). I was poking around for a desktop and saw the price on this. I figured for a hundred bucks more I could have a laptop, which I don't have right now, but I have owned a Dell Inspiron before.

I knew it wasn't going to be lightning fast, but I just replaced my hard drive (vertex 3) with a new Vertex 4 RAID0. So I had an extra SSD, and a very fast one at that, laying around.

I could have survived with the slow 5400 RPM drive, but I had the extra SSD laying around. I put it in and as expected it was exceptionally faster, and very responsive.

Now I'm very happy with it, and take the laptop with me. When plugged in at home it connects to my tv and displays my security system as an extended desktop.

1 out of 5 eggsno battery life, very heavy

Pros: pretty color and fast processor

Cons: like carrying around a bowling ball. says it's about 7 pounds but closer to 8. and don't expect to take it anywhere without plugging it in. battery has about 2 hours life...maybe.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good

Pros: Seems like a nice notebook. Everything works as advertised, and for the money it is a good deal. Seems like if you get a good one, you are happy, get a lemon and you are not; so I took the precaution of getting the year extended warranty, just in case.

Cons: None that I have come across yet.

1 out of 5 eggs1 Day

Pros: it worked fine the first few hours when i got it. everything worked good until the next day.

Cons: second day i had it mouse and left click button started to messed up like move and double click on it self. my usb 2.0 could not be used because it got bend up so nothing could be put into it. my other 2 usb would not work with my computer. put a usb for my mouse and it would not work. it was hard to my laptop when it keeps on moving ever where and double clicks on everything.

Other Thoughts: Save your money and buy a new laptop some where else. it may just be how the laptop i got was but still don't get because if you open it you cant get a refund if it breaks down or something.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop, good price.

Pros: I got this one to replace my old and dying netbook. And I am glad that I chose this one. I'm very happy with the speed and interface of the computer. There have been no issues with general light use, browsing and such. And lower key games like The Sims and simple modulators run fine. Considering the refurb, I got a lot more than I paid for, to be honest. The bloatware was minimal and could be taken care of without reinstalling Windows 7 even, if you have a bit of an idea what you're doing. I've also done some design with a tablet and Photoshop and it's run beautifully. the mic and camera are passable as well.

Cons: It's a big laptop, but that shouldn't be an issue unless you want something ultraportable. I also can't run larger and more intensive games like Skyrim on anything better than low graphic settings. Still able to run it otherwise, however. The only other thing is the battery life is a bit shorter than expected, but still has several good hours on it. Just keep it on AC power when you can.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this is a great laptop. It can handle most anything I've thrown at it. For what you pay, you really get it back.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: Very impressed. Refurbished or not, this thing looks brand new. The 30-day warranty Newegg gives you is plenty of time to figure out any problems with it. Luckily for me, mine arrived nicely packaged, and works like a charm.

Performance is what I expected, the price is great for this thing, overall I'm just very happy with the purchase.

I really like the way this thing LOOKS and it runs just as good.

Cons: From some reviews on another site, I've read that the keys are kind of small. Honestly, it's not worth loosing an egg though because they're spaced nicely.

Can't really think of any complaints with this thing.

Other Thoughts: Dell isn't my favorite brand, but I'm still happy with this notebook. Worth buying refurbished, still FEELS and runs brand-new.
