5 out of 5 eggsPretty awesome!

Pros: Small compact and really slick looking. Came with a webcam which I wasn't expecting and an 100gb hdd instead of the stock 80gb.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Going to replace the 2gb ram with 8gb to get the full potential out of the 64-bit system as I can. Also one of the "Warranty is void" stickers were half way off when I got the laptop, so hopefully that does end up causing a problem if something were to happen.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: Came with a 320gb HDD, may have missed it somewhere but I was only expecting a 80gb. It fired right up and all external ports worked just fine, wireless was working great, other then a little wear on the case and keyboard it works exactly as it should. Came packaged well with a power cord and Win7 disc.

Cons: None, its refurbished so expect some minor cosmetic issues.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't hesitate to buy again if I ever needed another.

5 out of 5 eggsDell Lattitude E4300

Pros: Good overall Performance. Fast internet speeds. Nice screen. Good video playback although I haven't tested hd video. Solid construction. Win 7 disk included (64 bit). 112 GB hard drive instead of advertised 80GB.

Cons: Some wear on mousepad. Armor shield wasn't installed. Some scratches on base. Old Windows Vista sticker!

Other Thoughts: Overall very happy with this laptop, Easily outperforms my old pentium 4 desktop. In fact, I was quite amazed at the responsiveness of this thing. Screen was in perfect condition. Bought it for my daughters' birthday present. Iam sure she will be very happy!

5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: Nice size, not too heavy: very portable. Runs like a champ. Snappy and responsive. Nice clear video, and good video/web performance. I like the keyboard; extra touchpad buttons.

Great condition: looks/seems new.

Excellent for email, web-browsing, watching videos, streaming Netflix. Haven't tried gaming - probably will never use it for that.

I like that it didn't have a lot of junkware installed.

Cons: Battery pack juts out. Wish it had more USB ports. No manual included.

Other Thoughts: The hard drive I got is bigger than advertised: 112 GB. I haven't tested DVD RW. Includes Windows disk, adapter. Certainly I feel I got a good value.

I opted to add the extended warranty. That's 90 days plus one year. With the free shipping I paid a little over 300.00 USD for a very full-featured little machine.

You should install anti-virus as soon as you can. The one I got had none enabled. Also, update the divers.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: CPU faster than listed (C2D SP9400 @ 2.4ghz w/6M cache), insanely good build quality with magnesium alloy construction, takes 8GB DDR3 like a champ, boots super fast with the Kingston 120GB SSD I installed, plays back 720p and 1080p mkv HD videos with no issues, very bright LED screen, nice keyboard that's very similar to what you get on a Thinkpad, lightweight and thin but still packs a DVDRW, a trillion times nicer than the netbooks and junky consumer grade laptops you would find in this price range (this was a $2800+ business ultraportable marketed to corporate executives in its day). Essentially, this is an ultra premium laptop for a Walmart price.

Cons: only two USB ports and one is a combo eSATA/USB port, needed a BIOs update from A12 to A24, some minor scuffs, extended battery sticks awkwardly out the back, no webcam, intel integrated video is useless for gaming, no HDMI, beautiful black magnesium alloy case was covered with ugly stickers on the bottom that I had to clean off with alcohol

Other Thoughts: You can get an illuminated keyboard for the e4300 very cheaply if you know where to look. There's also a smaller 3 cell battery that's flush with the back of the computer, but the battery life with it isn't nearly as good. Overall, this is an awesome deal, but only if you're comfortable fixing up laptops.

4 out of 5 eggsCool little machine

Pros: Small, but nice quality display
Sturdy build, and strong hinges
Fast Processor, and decent amount of RAM stock
Nice keyboard feel and layout
Loaded with Win 7 premium
Unbelievable battery life
Card reader built in

Cons: Very little video memory, slow on processing graphics

Other Thoughts: For the price, this little laptop was a great buy. Has excellent features that are very helpful to me. I work in the military and the CAC reader built in is great, screen is crystal clear, and always starts up and runs smooth. Very happy with the purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsBest laptop for the price!

Pros: This is a durable, business-class laptop from 2008. Some models of these laptops went for over $2000. When I was looking at less-expensive Sandy Bridge laptops, I found that the CPU in this machine was quite similar in performance. The Core 2 Duo is about twice as fast as the AMD E450 CPUs in new laptops in this price category.

The keyboard feels great, the hdd takes 3 screws to replace (Compared to the 25 on my old Asus netbook), the casing is very well built, speakers are decent, the weight isn't bad and the battery life seems decent (Sitting at the desktop, Windows 7 says 5 hours 54 minutes). I also appreciate the pointing stick in addition to the touchpad.

I was impressed at the performance, Team Fortress 2 runs at 25 to 60 FPS on lowered settings, which is very playable. UT2004 runs very well, too.

A docking station and additional battery slice is available for the computer, the docking station has DVI and Display Port if you want a better quality connection to a monitor

Cons: The machine is refurbished, so it isn't exactly in pristine condition. There's this odd black skin on the laptop's lid and palmrest, which would cover any imperfections. Since the lid's skin wasn't put on perfectly, I removed it exposing some scuffs, though nothing too major (In my opinion, the lid with some scuffs looks better than the skin). I also removed the palmrest skin, exposing a nearly-perfect finish.

The unit does get warm during some games. I had hwmonitor running in the background during some TF2, which showed temperatures reaching just over 70 degrees celcius. Keep it on a desk when gaming!

Out of the box, not all drivers are installed. Luckily Dell's website is fairly decent and provides you with many of these drivers.

There's no webcam, though I don't find that to be a major issue.

Only two USB ports, though one is an eSATA combo port and you do have an expresscard slot for USB 3 or 2.

Other Thoughts: An SSD would make this great machine even better.

Wish I had the version with the backlit keyboard, though you can find people selling the part for under $20.

Dell has great service manuals, if you're into DIY repairs.
