Pros: Nice laptop, if you never want to use the dvd/cd player.

Cons: dvd/cd player quit working and apparently, after spending about 2 hours on the phone with Dell support, it is a software problem and they can fix it for $129. The warranty covers parts and labor for 1 year, but not the software at all. I have probably played 6 cds on it before it abruptly stopped working.

Other Thoughts: Hindsight, I would have bought a different brand, because I had a flashback of helping another friend several years ago...I remember spending an entire evening on the phone with Dell support in India. What a miserable way to spend an evening.

Pros: Great price and specs. Little to no flex.

Cons: I wish I could get the same specs in a smaller form factor. Shipped with bad RAM but Dell sent a tech out to replace it next day.

Cons: I bought it brand new, it arrived, I tried to turn it on and all I got was black screen and beeping. Returned it and after 2 weeks NewEgg determined it was defective. Out of stock so I had to order a different laptop (lenovo). They shipped it, but when I opened the box it was a LaCie hard drive! Emailed invoice said they shipped the laptop. This is the first time I used NewEgg and 2 mistakes already. I should have had a new laptop in 3 shipping days, but a month later I still don't have one but have been charged.

Other Thoughts: Customer service has been pretty good, but 2 mistakes makes me wonder how reliable this company is.

Pros: Great laptop. Fast and easy to use. 8 gigs of ram is a big plus.

Cons: None really...

Pros: Seemed like a good deal for the money.

Cons: As the title suggests it goes blank constantly. I can't seem to find a solution.

Other Thoughts: Maybe I got a bad one but mine is unusuable.

Pros: 8 GB of ram, good processor, Windows 7 (instead of 8), plenty fast for my daughter

Cons: standard 1366x768 display (but for the price, what do you expect)

Other Thoughts: At some point I will probably replace the hard drive with an SSD

Pros: thought I was buying quality getting a Dell
good specs for price

Cons: Battery wont even make it 3 hours with most of that time asleep.
Touchpad is worst I have ever used. I have gone in settings and tried all the settings for it and nothing has worked. So disappointed when I thought I was buying a quality Dell laptop from Newegg.

Pros: perfect computer for fast use 24/7
everything comes working and ready to go
good keyboard, however not as sturdy as the xps.
fast dual core i5 rips through all processing needs. ram and hdd are more than adiquiate, however i wish the hdd was 7200 rpm no biggie.
screen has great clarity, but viewing angles are just average.
win 7! windows 8 sucks

i was supprised to find intel hd 4000 graphics are much better than i expected. they have come a long way from the laughable 2000 and 3000 series graphics.
good computer for any and all uses asside from gaming.

Cons: no discrete gpu
so yes gaming is out of the question, however i would be willing to bet world of tanks would run on hd 4000 graphics.
they have the performance equivaliant of a gt 525M

Other Thoughts: this computer was $550 if it had windows 8 on it i would have still bought it. i would have still bought this with (heaven forbid) osx on it. you cant find a better computer at this price range and expecially one with the support background of dell. this is my sixth dell computer and i will be sure to buy another.

Pros: NONE

Cons: Wireless fails to hold a connection only one year after date of purchase.
Customer service is the worst I have ever seen.

Other Thoughts: After my purchase of my Dell laptop, Dell sent me paperwork on my individual computer stating my model number, service tag, purchase ID and End date of warranty. I called Dell to make a claim on the wireless problem as the paper they sent me stated that my end of warranty was on 2/28/2013. I spoke to the representative for a short while and she too saw on the computer it was that same date. After I gave her the rest of my information she then said the date changed to October 31st, 2012 and then said it actually was no longer under warranty . I continued to discuss with her the change of date and even emailed them a copy of the document they sent me to prove otherwise. After about two weeks of getting the runaround from their "managers" I am being told my computer is not going to be covered. Their overseas customer support is the worst and they still refuse to let me speak to anyone that is not a robot reading off of a piece of paper or anyone stationed within the US. I will NEVER buy another dell product and I will NEVER sell another one of their products to any of my customers.

big, clear, decent resolution screen

good web cam
speakers sound great and are very loud
USB 3.0 for charging my portable devices

Cons: heavy and bulky
did not come with SSD
does not have backlit keyboard

Other Thoughts: It actually makes a good desktop replacement due to being fast and supporting multiple displays.
I added a Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3/120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) and it now boots
I think this was a good value at <$500 and am very happy with it after 1 month of lugging it around.
