1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: Looks clean.

Cons: Trackpad doesn't work... Wifi adapter doesn't work...

Other Thoughts: I needed a cheap computer to browse the web, and for nearly $400 I got a machine that can't do it. Can't get online if there's no working wifi adapter, and I can't do anything without a trackpad either.

If I wanted a machine that requires a mouse and a hard-wired connection I'd just spend the money on a desktop.

2 out of 5 eggsSome/good-Some/BAD!

Pros: The E6400 is a good general purpose laptop...if you get one that works!

Cons: The unit I received still had food stuck on the keyboard-Unbelievable! The unit was generally dirty. The CD/RW did not work unless you tapped on the tray after closing it. This unit was someone else's reject. I base that on the extra programs I found on it which normally don't come preinstalled. I had to RMA the unit.

Other Thoughts: It has been my experience that the quality of these so called refurbished machines is generally pretty bad. You will have to RMA about 50% of them. Some units look like they have not been touched, except for reinstalling the OS. Some units look great. The RMA I got back came with a Win7 32bit disk and Win7 64bit installed. No attention to detail! I am glad the replacement unit worked...Good Luck!

1 out of 5 eggsRefurbished: DELL E6400ASB

Pros: Cheap for a couch potato computer.

Cons: Keys 6,7,y,u.h,j,n,m stopped working in 50 days. Those keys and others started falling off of the keyboard. So, with a 30 day warranty not much I can do.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for ($250). Go ahead and buy a new one. Less chance of getting a piece of c*^p. Only out is get a wireless keyboard and mouse.... I HATE LAPTOPS!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for Work

Pros: Great budget Laptop for a small warehouse. Windows 7 Disk. Decent speakers

Cons: Shipped with old battery. Armor sticker is a little cheesy. Not many USB ports.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my company to use in a warehouse setting, managing inventories, paperwork in the back, that kind of thing. It does it's job well. Bonus was it came with a Windows 7 DISC. The Armor Skin deal is really just a sticker, but it works fine. Surprisingly the speakers are decent and they fill my warehouse nicely. Dinged it one star because the battery that was shipped with the computer had miserable life, like 1/2 hour 45 minutes between charges even on full power saver mode. Bought a new one and it's better.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: Comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit installed AND with Recovery Disc. Computer was in pretty good shape. The only minor issues w/it involved the trackpad (looks used, but expected) and the left click button on the trackpad (is flattened and lacks the solid "click" that I'm used to). There were no nicks, scratches, scuffs, dings, or dents on my laptop when I received it. Came with 2GB of RAM which is a little low for a 64bit OS (will be updated soon). I got Windows8 working on it just fine and overall I'm very happy with the laptop. Standard 6-cell battery lasts about 4.5 hours with basic web browsing. The one I received came with the 1280x800 screen resolution and the intel integrated graphics card (wished it was the Nvidia one, but it's Refurb, you get what's available).

Cons: Trackpad is worn and left-click trackpad button is flattened and lacks the solid "click" feeling

Other Thoughts: Plan on upgrading to 4GB of RAM and potentially a SSD in the near future. Interface is SATA 3 and system can handle up to 8GB of RAM

2 out of 5 eggsNot the best...

Pros: Good price. Sent W7 cd along with it.

Cons: Bought 2 of these - one was DOA. The other worked fine. Got the replacement (Thank you NewEgg) and it look like it had been in a war zone. The camera did not work on it. I bought an external as I could not wait for another replacement.
I have bought dozens of refurb laptops from NewEgg. These 2 were of the least cosmetically appealing.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend these.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's alright

Pros: Everything works good, pretty much.

Cons: The screen randomly goes black and it gives me a message that says, "Display driver intel graphics accelerator drivers for windows vista (R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

Other Thoughts: Personally, i don't care if it's refurbished or not, If this computer used to be vista, why would you update it to windows 7, and leave a Vista graphics card in it, that makes absolutely no sense.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Came with a 160GB HDD and a nice back-lit keyboard. I wanted it for school to be portable and dependable and should meet both of these needs. The battery holds a charge and the drive scores good on S.M.A.R.T. tests. LED backlit display and this one came with the Nvidia Quandro GPU.

Cons: GPU runs hot.

Other Thoughts: Will eventually drop another 2 Gig of ram (came with only 1 Ram slot utilized, which is awesome!) and an SSD to speed things up.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Refurb!

Pros: This laptop looks and runs like new. The battery ran a three hour movie. The Win 7 64bit system is great. This unit runs strong with 4 gigs of ram.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I sold this unit the day after I prepared it. The customer was very pleased. I don't usually buy refurbs but I may buy some more of these.
