5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Buy!!

Pros: Faster 'n hell processor, beautiful graphics performance, Display is crystal clear and perfectly sized, just a gorgeous machine! I LOVE it!!

Cons: Top cover is a magnet for fingerprints, but that's about it!

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a referb and have had absolutely no problems with it. As a matter of fact, once I got it, I figured out that it is the exact same unit that a friend of mine had bought less than a year before for over $500 more than I had spent on mine. Booyah.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop

Pros: - It's an absolute beast; I use it mainly for school and with an i7 processor it can handle anything I throw at it.
- The large keyboard is great, my hands never feel cramped when I'm doing programming.
- Screen isn't half bad, so watching movies is always a plus.
- HUGE harddrive means you won't be running out of room.
- Not a Macbook! You'll feel unique with this baby out, especially if you grab their cover replacements somewhere.

Cons: - This thing is pretty heavy, but it's more of a desktop replacement than a netbook so expect it.
- It gets HOT. I mean really hot. If you're playing a game expect the cpu to get up to 90C... It got so hot that it actually melted the glue from the rubber tabs that kept the screen from hitting the keyboard when closed.
- Keyboard feels flimsy, and will actually flex as you type away. I know the i7 can take a lot more heat, but that's still a pretty scary temperature to reach. Invest in ways to keep it cooled off.
- Oh boy, the bloatware. Do yourself a favour, wipe the drives and install your OWN copy of Windows; what they give you is terrible.
- Battery is pretty "meh"; with any and every saving option you can think of you'll be lucky to get 4 hours of typing... Then again this is an i7 laptop, you can expect a lot of power consumption.

Other Thoughts: For it's original asking price ($1,200) it was a pretty decent laptop; yet there were others that were on par (if not better) and so I'd never would have considered it. I payed $600 for this badboy, and haven't regretted it since. Sure it's heavier, sure it's got a few awkward design choices (why does the trackpad have to be so BIG?). At the end of the day, I couldn't imagine going to school without it, and I don't feel gimped like the others using their Netbooks or Ultrabooks. If you want a laptop for surfing the internet or for light homework then you should pass on this one; if you need the power of a desktop with you for some of the more heavier work loads then for it's price it's hard to beat.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Deal!

Pros: Outstanding computer! Amazingly fast, huge harddrive, loads of memory. I love the fact that it has a full keyboard with a separate numeric keypad.

The details provided by Newegg didn't mention this, but it also has Bluetooth capabilities.

Cons: A high-def screen would be nice, but the only actual complaint I have is the touchpad is larger than most and often gets in the way of typing.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a computer that has the power to be a developer's station, the capabilities for playing intense games, and is a bargain, this is your machine. I've read reviews from people who paid $1300+ for this machine, so this is definitely a deal
