5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This notebook comes with amazing hardware for casual use. It was purchased for someone who would be using it for the usual video streaming and such, providing more than enough power for casual use.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This is by no means meant for gaming, it will not run any recent game at a playable level.

3 out of 5 eggsmy new to me dell notebook

Pros: nice looking notebook, no big dents or dings, boots right up most times, screen is good no pixel loss or mars, I really like the machine which is why I haven't rma'ed it

Cons: every 3rd boot up I get the - have to check for errors screen before the notebook will boot up to windows, I get the blue screen of death about every 6th time I use it, and the battery doesn't work, have to keep it on the charger to use it.

Other Thoughts: I knew I was getting refurbished and when the notebook works I really like it, eventually I will get around to getting a new battery, fortunately everywhere I use it, there is an outlet

1 out of 5 eggsRefurbished = ALL USED UP

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Bought 2 of these, 1 is completely worn down, CD drive scratches disks, the other was never used cause of either mobo or gpu faulty and overheats with in 15 mins then blue screens.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR with tthese.

NOT recommended!

Other Thoughts: Try a Chrome book instead.

I would NOT remommend this laptop! (unless to enemies)

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: light weight. much better than higher priced netbooks.

Cons: Hard drive went bad in under 90 days. I would have gone 4 eggs if it didn't bite the dust so fast...

Other Thoughts: Great laptop for the price. You really can't beat it. But if it doesn't work then it doesn't matter how cheap it was. I am waiting for NewEgg to send me another... I am fairly confident as of now that it will get resolved. I have always had great service.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Deal

Pros: This notebook started life as an XP machine, and made the transition to Windows 7 without blinking an eye. Its fast, has plenty of usable memory with 2 GB, and handles downloads very well.

By today's standards its probably a basic model, but for everyday computing, including online work, its an amazing deal at the price I paid for it ($210).

I was so impressed with the machine that I recommended it to my Aide who also bought one; she loves her 'new' computer.

Cons: None that I've found.

Other Thoughts: If you have the chance to get this little gem at a good Newegg price, do so. You won't be disappointed.

1 out of 5 eggsDefinitely wasn't refurbished

Pros: Seemed like a reasonable deal at the time

Cons: This laptop was NOT refurbished. Someone at MTC Tech (the company that "refurbishes" them) just made sure that it could power on and then shipped it, I guess.

The laptop I received had a battery that holds about a 30 minute charge - they didn't even spring for the aftermarket $20 new battery. The heatsink/fan was completely jammed with dust causing the laptop to nearly overheat just minutes after powering it on. The built-in speaker was broken. The LCD screen is defective -- a defective video cable to the motherboard. The display is garbled and sometimes disappears when opening/closing the lid.

The worst thing? MTC decided to put their warranty sticker (warranty void if removed) over one of the screws that holds in the hard drive. That's right, you can't even replace the hard drive without voiding their warranty. So the first thing I intended to do, replace the hard drive with an SSD, is out of the question.

This was a very poor product and not worth the money.

Other Thoughts: Maybe you will get lucky if you buy one. I sure didn't.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Follow through from Shipper

Pros: Good value...initially.

Cons: Refurbishing company that sold this machine for New Egg has zero customer service. I received a bad machine and called their 800 number provided. Only get voice mail and no one returns calls. I have called 4 times and have left multiple messages. They have not yet responded to e-mail either. I feel it was a good deal and worth purchasing. However, they follow through from the warranty company is worthless. If you purchase and receive a bad machine, you will get no help or answers what so ever. Caution.

4 out of 5 eggsThanks to Dell works Well

Pros: 1. There are some nice tweaks in the Bios.
2. Came with 80 gig hdd.
3. Came with Win7 Home prem 64bit and repair disk.
4. Everything works.

Cons: 1. Poor vetting by New Egg.
2. It was filthy when I got it.
3. Food particles and other debris stuck in the keyboard.
4. Sticker goo in different places on the laptop.

Other Thoughts: I had to wipe it down real well with alcohol and use goo b gone to remove old sticker goo from the laptop plus blowout the keyboard to remove loose debris. I know it is a leaseback and I know it is used and I know it is refurbished but c'mon, at least clean it up before shipping it out to the new user.

3 out of 5 eggsReferbished - NOT the one I got

Pros: Pretty clean except for some sticky residue where stickers may have been. Runs good except DVD/CD drive will not read a single disk.

Cons: After activation and installing drivers from the internet for my outboard hardware wanted to install my applications from disk - Click on drive, insert disk, close drive drawer, wait 5 min. Disk ejects, Message "insert disk" - I ran in this loop through 5 known good disks - Frustrated. Refurbished, somewhat. I have hours into the setup. I'll try installing through my network from desktop.
I'll let you all know how Newegg handles this.

Other Thoughts: A roll of the dice.
I never buy "Refurbished" , but I do buy used on the bay.
I don't know what came over me.
I paid $225, the next day it drops to $215
