1 out of 5 eggsStay FAR away

Pros: Android is kinda cute

Cons: ANDROID 4.0.4 does not work on this Thrive. Toshiba wants me to wait for the next update. Will not give me a date "we are working on it now"

Other Thoughts: Toshiba is company that does not care about its customer

1 out of 5 eggsScreen sponteneously cracked

Pros: Newegg is awesome and the Thrive operating system is great. Easy to manuever!

Cons: The glass screen sponteneously cracked from the upper left hand corner (looks like a stress crack) 2 months into ownership. I have the hard back cover, the Toshiba leather case, carry it all in a neoprene padded case in my brief case, it has never been dropped or exposed to extreme enviroments or abuse. Toshiba will not cover this under the warranty! Did some research after the fact...lots of these cracking issues posted. Toshiba will not classify this as a manufacturer's defect. They say they have never had a complaint?!?!? DO NOT BUY the Thrive. Toshiba quoted me a repair of $170 - $400+ not worth the additional $25 to ship back to them. And let's not get into the maze of roadblocks to talk to a customer service rep - my calls were disconnected everytime they put me on hold. Of course I was blamed for abusing the tablet that I treated like a Fabrege egg!

4 out of 5 eggsSponteneous crack

Pros: Fast and easy to manuver

Cons: Toshiba support is a pain!!! I bought my Thrive with the optional back cover and black folding case AND I keep my unit in a padded neoprene tablet case. Pulled it out of my brief case (my third layer of protection) the week before Christmas to find 2 cracks in my glass eminating from the corner. I have never dropped it and have treated it in the most delicate manner as this is a HUGE $$ investment for me. I believe they are stress cracks. Numerous attempts to find a customer service rep at Toshiba was fruitless. Finally spoke to someone in warranty sales who gave me a number that no one seems to every pick up (over 20 minutes on hold). The warranty salesman told me that Toshiba does not cover glass in their 1 year warranty but if I spent $25 to send it back THEN they would let me know how much to fix it. Come on Toshiba...the competition is itching to get my business!

Other Thoughts: Love Newegg too bad Toshiba can't meet my expectations.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good!

Pros: Good tablet for the price. Not sure why not more popular. While not as sturdy as IPad (not uni-body design), it is pretty good in hand. Like the rubber back the most. Fast and quick. Pretty stable with Android 3.2. Dead only a couple of times per day, perhaps due to the programs running. It is still a pretty new platform. So problems should be expected. Impressed overall. Like the HDMI outlet, SD card slot, mini USB port. Not sure how other tablet users have survived without them.

They are lighting fast to be on and off. Stark contrast to windows.

Cons: Power converter quite bulky. Not many accessories available. Dock not very useful. Design can be improved. Wish Android 4.x.

Other Thoughts: Wish that there are more programs so that I can use it as a laptop replacement. There are still some limitations with tablets in general. But Microsoft needs to watch out.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this tablet and I can't put it down.

Pros: I bought it on black friday and I did not have any problems completing the transaction. $200 is a steal for this tablet and even at $379 it is worth it. The battery life is very good for all this tablet can do. I really like the full size ports. 8gb hard drive, yeah its kind of small, but big deal it has a SD card slot. $50 for a 32gb card and you will have more than enough space and it will still be cheaper than an ipad. The weight compared to an ipad is negligible. Yeah the thrive is thicker than most other tablets, but again it is not an issue. The android os is a lot more versitile and user friendly than the ipad.
Toshiba Thrive = best tablet value on the market right now.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: What are you waiting for.......BUY IT ALREADY

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome-ish

Pros: The Toshiba Thrive was a great tablet, the screen was responsive, coming from a viewsonic gTablet it was like night and day. The ability to actually place the tablet on a flat surface and still see the scren was a good thing.
The speakers weren't too shabby, while not as loud as my gTablet still had decent response. The overall design isn't too bad. While slightly thicker than a Transformer or Xoom, it felt good in the hand. The removable battery was a big plus. HDMI and full size usb without some stupid adapter.

Cons: It arrived with a crack in the screen. I still updated and booted it after the fact.

The cameras weren't too good, a 2mp front, and 5mp back but the sensor feels cheap. It couldn't do low light for anything any and shots came out very grainy.

While it has fullsize SD, USB, HDMI the lack of MicroSD is a bit annoying. The SD card sticks out of the top a little bit and isn't hidden away.

Other Thoughts: I've RMA'd it back to Newegg, but they would not drop ship me a new one. So now I'm stuck waiting for my new one to arrive. Hopefully this time not cracked.

4 out of 5 eggsAgree with the guy below

Pros: None! I rated the product high only to not screw up the average.

Cons: I tried to get it as part of the black friday sale as well when the servers went down. I EVEN had it in my cart and was about to pay and then it said the item was removed from my card. UGH!

Other Thoughts: :(

1 out of 5 eggsNEWEGG FAILED!

Pros: Great Tablet, too bad Newegg's servers bogged and I couldn't get any!

Cons: Newegg FAILED!

Other Thoughts: I tried to get this as part of their Black Friday sale. I was online right at midnight the second it went on sale. However I was NEVER able to add it to my cart. Did they have, like, 5 of these? (If that?) I was not able to purchase it for Christmas gifts even though I was on the second it went on sale. I tried for a half-hour to buy it before finally getting a notification that it was sold out. So I wasted a half hour trying to add it to my cart.
Now before you get all defensive saying it was a "door buster" "limited quantities" etc, I have to say that Newegg should have better prepared for this sale and their server should not have had me running in circle for a half hour trying to add it to my cart. That many people could not have taken that long to check out and deplete their stock. It should have just said "sold out" right away.

Not only that but I sent two separate e-mails to Newegg customer service asking what happend and recieved NO reply. Pathetic. Disappointed. Never aga
