3 out of 5 eggsStunning failure

Pros: It was a great tablet while it lasted.

Cons: Really disappointed that it lasted less than 3 years. It is totally useless now, stuck in endless boot mode.

1 out of 5 eggsRMA'ed

Pros: Light weight

Cons: When holding, would randomly think i was touch the screen in the bottom right corner and act crazy until i shut it down and re powered on. RMA'ed, will see what happens.

Other Thoughts: I had a cell phone(Glide) that did this a few years back. What scares me is I ended up replacing the phone 4 times before i switched phones hoping it wasn't a design flaw. Hope this is not the case here.

5 out of 5 eggsJust plain fabulous....

Pros: Absolutely lovely
Good fit and finish, really sleek
Fast and lots of goodies loaded on it already
Everything works nonsense
Did I mention that it's gorgeous and oh-so-light-weight (in a GOOD way)
Great display despite online comments about a grid appearance....haven't noticed that if it's there

Cons: None, so far, in the 1/2 hour I've been noodling with it

Other Thoughts: I don't know what this gem is priced the way that it is. I expected there to be something wrong, or off, or just not "right" but that just isn't the case. This tablet is really, REALLY wonderful. It's fast, the design is clean, uncluttered, and soooo streamlined. I purchased a no-name unit (I know, I know, bad move) that was attractive but just sooo bloody slow. Downloads on the Toshiba are extremely fast and the responsiveness to my touch is great...especially after my experiences with the no-name tablet. This thing is just great and hopefully my experiences will continue to be positive.

5 out of 5 eggsToshiba LE 10

Pros: Awesome. I guess they dropped the price to compete with other tablets, but the quality of the build is amazing. I'm using for MKV DIVX movies, quality is very good. Was going to wait for the microsoft tablet, but I think the price will be a lot higher than this.

Cons: Not sure if it will ir remote anything.

Other Thoughts: Why do people get tablets? I got one to travel with. Email, movies and get on the webi. This does that. If you go to the Toshiba website, the price isn't dropped like NewEgg. I did some research on other places to buy and this was the lowest price fora 32g 10" tablet.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat are you Waiting For?

Pros: Fast, lightweight, very thin.

Cons: Accessories are still expensive and hard to find. The dock is a little lacking.

Other Thoughts: I took years to decide on a tablet. I got a Nook Color, but after 2 years, I wanted more speed and screen size, and fewer restrictions. I thought the Toshiba Thrive might fill the bill, but it was thick and heavy -- no lighter than my netbook. Reviews called it sluggish and Android upgrades were problematic.

Then Toshiba brought out the Excite LE. Seeming too good to be true, I read the reviews. Available from the factory with Android 4.0. Faster, thinner, lighter than the Thrive -- than almost any other tablet. Newegg had the 32GB for just twenty bucks more than anyone else had the 16GB.

It's everything it's cracked up to be. It's my reader, music machine, game machine, and quick hook-up to Wi-Fi. Documents, whatever I used my netbook for, the Excite 10 LE handles -- and the apps are usually cheaper.

Get the Toshiba keyboard! I just wish the dock were more versatile. The Thrive dock does HDMI and USB, the Excite dock has only audio -- at twice the price. I'm waiting..
