3 out of 5 eggsGreat look, but performs below par

Pros: - I absolutely love the design
- Dual screen
- Touchscreen
- Opening the laptop panel is easy and simple. NO SCREWS <3

Cons: - Virtual keyboard

Virtual keyboard technology is still buggy. Calibration issues, unregistered keystrokes and key holds.

- Virtual touchpad

You can't change the size of it, but you can change the size of the keyboard. Bad design choice. Sometimes it will hang up on you and not move and think you are clicking instead of just trying to move the cursor (highly annoying).

- No dedicated video card

All of the other hardware is great, but the lack of a dedicated video card makes this laptop only usable for surfing the web, watching movies, and maybe office/home use if you can get used to the keyboard like I have. DO NOT TRY TO GAME WITH THIS LAPTOP! It will NOT work out.

- Horrendous battery life

I don't know what it is with Acer laptop batteries, but they tend to last only ~3 hours maximum with many of their models. I do understand why, with it being dual screen in all, but they should have manufactured a battery to counteract its increased power consumption.

- NON-

Other Thoughts: I am a huge fan of touchscreen and tablet PCs (not tablets). My previous laptop being a HP Touchsmart tm2t, but the graphics controller kicked the bucket. I bought this laptop being highly attracted to the design of laptop itself.

This laptop has so much room for improvement it isn't even funny. Acer made a great foundation product in my opinion, but it kind of seems rushed to get it out on the market. The hardware is not bad, but it could be loads better.

To tack onto the last Con bullet, I found out this product was non-refundable. I managed to get it refunded because I was having problems with the virtual keyboard's keystroke/keyhold detection.

3 out of 5 eggsBad luck

Pros: I think the touch interface once learned how to use correctly will be highly productive, someday will be the mainstay interface. My unit tend to lock up every 15 minutes. also had an issue where the upper screen will start randomly clicking locations, sometimes causing programs to load. I think i got a bad unit. bad luck.

I loved the touch interface. but seems this is not universal.......

Cons: Unit was for my wife, she hated the touch keyboard. she cannot feel the keys. with out this contact she was unable to type well with out looking at the keyboard. she nearly throw it out the window each time it locked up. expensive Frisbee!

Other Thoughts: being a bad first experience with a touch type system, newegg let me exchange this bad unit for another brand.

Unit is costly and slow compared to other units even less priced. it has a huge showoff factor. is the touch screen worth it the huge price of a dual core i5?

its not very gameable, as your still need a mouse to control. the touch keyboard does not do fps at all. still kinda neat to touch interface with in games.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent for touch, takes up to 10 touch points at a time. Acer touch software is really nice.

Cons: Lots of bloatware. The laptop is heavy. No firewire or bluetooth.

Other Thoughts: Even with the built in keyboard and touch screen, sometimes you still want a mouse and real keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome!! The keyboard works well the acer wheel is very innovative

Cons: If ur missing a hand or a finger I can for see it being hard to use
And the battery life is short annoying bc most movies are longer the 2hrs but none the less it works well

Other Thoughts: If it use the sandy bridge processors the battery life and graphics would be better

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Crock of SHI....

Pros: It was great while it still worked. The dual screens were nice but the glass keyboard honestly was not appreciated whatsoever. I though it would be a great addition and an awesome idea. I am not thrilled at it. Performance was good, again, while it lasted.

Cons: We bought it on 05/17/2011 today is 6/9/11 it does not work. We do not overwork it, we use it in wonderfully cool air conditioning and mostly watched a movie here and there on it. WE ARE EXTREMELY UNHAPPY WITH IT DYING IN LESS THAN 30 DAYS especially with a price tag of $1199. If we could get a refund and buy another laptop we would do it in a heartbeat. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED IN THIS ACER PRODUCT!!!!!

Other Thoughts: Save your money and buy 2 laptops for the same price, at least then they together would last at least 60 days!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsAcer Does it Right!!

Pros: -Virtual Keyboard is unbelievably accurate. My biggest surprise was that I could type at near 100% normal speed with no difference in the occasional rare typo.

-Ebook (Nook) works perfect, with swipe gestures in either window.

-The dual page Browser is wonderfull for swipe movement of webpages.

- All my Apps work as designed after all it's still a PC.

Cons: -Battery life 2 hours - But I found I get much longer battery life if I turn the brightness down which is defaulted to the Brightest setting. (Each monitor has a separate control for brightness.

Other Thoughts: - After I installed iTunes, I had a one time error on the Media Ring when I opened the Audio Pane. It appears you have to let it finish cataloging all your Music the first time it opens before you try to play something. After 4 minutes, no more errors and all the Album art showed up.
