5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Good power, nice design, very good battery life.
I've had this tablet for several months and I've been using it a lot more than I thought I would. It let's be run around online while sitting on the couch, no laptop, no netbook, just a think little always-on internet access device. I still use my desktop for games/video/software dev, but the netbook gets almost no love anymore.
The graphics ability is quite nice and I can watch 720p video (mkv/avi) with diceplayer (paid app) with no problems, and other free video players can usually come pretty close. The speakers lack bass, obviously, but are plenty loud for anywhere quieter than a busy airport, you may want to use some decent headphones.
USB port on this is great, lets you plug in a keyboard or whatever, or charge your cell phone in a pinch.

Cons: The cameras are a little weak, but they certainly suffice.
The screen is not matte, but a good reusable screen protector took care of that and made it much easier on the eyes and helped the touch sensation dragging a finger across the screen; it's much smoother now.

Other Thoughts: I have a lightweight custom rom installed with the latest thor kernel installed instead of the default stuff, this helps battery a lot as it has a fix to disable the radio software that constantly eats battery by trying to enable the radio hardware, which doesn't exist (only cellphones or 3/4g tablets.)

3 out of 5 eggsSure it will work great after I get it back

Pros: Solid feel
Responsive screen
Tech-support (so far)
Documenation

Cons: Battery was DOA
Documenation claims "tested at factory"...haha
Unable to find out what all the different status' mean for the power button indicator

Other Thoughts: Received my first ever tablet. Bought it for my wife. However, the battery appears to be dead right out of the box. The little battery symbol had a question mark on it, and it never went above %3. I charged the table for 4 hours to be sure it didn't have anything to do w/ the controller chip learning the charge, but no difference. The power button indicator would stay solid orange for about a minute, and the just keep flashing. I was not able to find ANYWHERE what the different indicator lights mean. I opened a ticket w/ Acer support, which was fairly quick and got me a repair order put in. Still, I'm not quite comfortable yet w/ this. I will update after I get the tablet back from the repair center (about 2 weeks or so), and update my overall rating based on that experience.

5 out of 5 eggsamzing

Pros: good battery, great screen.. never had problems

Cons: slippery and some apps not available that's available to others (this is an android fragmentation problem tho)

Other Thoughts: was going to buy the Toshiba thrive but this tablet is amazing for the price... if you get it though, you should root the device to get full 100% access to every android app out there... plus to get rid of some bloat ware.

1 out of 5 eggsmaybe worth avoiding

Pros: Its a tablet. Works like many others

Cons: Wont accept a charge after about two weeks of owning. NewEgg only replaces after the box is open. Id advise checking out some other brands, even if they may cost a little more. Getting a replacement for something built in a shoddy way with the same product kind of sucks.

Other Thoughts: The tablet feels heavy and sturdy. I guess i fell into the trap.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but not great

Pros: Nice Android tablet for the price.
Screen is clear and vibrant.
Software seems snappy (with one exception - see browser comment in "Cons").

Cons: Camera quality is terrible.
Rear camera lens has a tendency to start peeling away from the back of the tablet.
Keyboard input on stock browser is very jerky. This can be fixed by downloading / using an alternate browser (such as Opera Mobile).

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm happy with the tablet. The less than stellar build quality of the unit is a bit of a turn off, but beyond that it is a decent alternative to the iPad.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, hopefully better with Android updates

Pros: Battery life seems pretty good - it's not the longest lasting tablet out there, but you can easily get 6+ hours out of it.

Picture is nice and crisp in landscape mode.

HDMI output, support for microSD

Screen is scratch-resistant and sturdy (Gorilla Glass)

Cons: Image quality is worse in portrait mode - thin darker lines are visible.

Without a case, the unit is slippery, hard to hold on to with just one hand.

No support for Netlfix or Hulu yet (with Honeycomb 3.1)

Webcam picture quality leaves much to be desired, especially in low-light settings.

Seems a bit weak in wifi reception, gets a worse signal than other devices.

Other Thoughts: Overall the tablet is good, but like most tablets it's overpriced. A matte back cover would have been a better choice to reduce chances of accidentally dropping it, but that can be solved by buying a case. Hopefully the tablet will receive a software upgrade soon to support Netflix and Hulu, since that would make it better as a media player.

5 out of 5 eggsStrong, Smooth, Wonderful

Pros: It's very strong and resistant, feels very sturdy. The touch screen is really nice. Nice amount of memory, flash, good stuff.

Cons: Slippery, I've dropped this 3 times since I got it. That's how I know how strong it is. So a case is a must. Pricey.

Other Thoughts: While I say pricey, I actually mean that for what you get, its nothing special, I could say this about all tablets though, I say you are better off going with a netbook, or laptop.

4 out of 5 eggsGood time waster

Pros: A rare tablet that has Full USB, Micro HDMI out, MicroSDHC slot. I have a 2x 32GB microSDHC card plugged into this awesome tablet, one using a elago Mobile Nano II USB 2.0 microSDHC Flash Memory Card Reader (Black) I got from Ama-zon. I also have a 500GB seagate flexdrive I bought with the $50 GC that has been formatted to fat32. Which pretty much gives me unlimited space!!!!

Cons: The thing is very slippery... You need a silicone case for this for sure, a full body invisible shield won't give you enough grip on this monster of a tablet.

Other Thoughts: I really liked the asus transformer, and I wanted to get the toshiba thrive, but the asus had no USB port, and the thrive was a bit too high. I probably would've gone for the thrive if it was $100 cheaper, since I like the replaceable battery and full HDMI port, and SD card slot... But overall, acer hit the price point for me thanks to Neweggs GC promotion...
