Pros: Great all around laptop, the i7 processor runs great, and the integrated graphics work well for the games I play (Civ 5, CoH, etc.)

Cons: Had my first one fry a day after I got it, but RMA'd it and got a new one, which has lasted over a year and a half with no problems
Runs a little hot sometimes

Other Thoughts: Overall, very dependable.

Pros: Fast, Cheap, Fast. minimal bloatware. once bloatware uninstalled, is like a rocket.

NewEgg got it to me 2 days before i expected it, shipped the same day i ordered it, as usual, they Rock.

Cons: used both RAM ports [typical]
it says 640gb HDD but with formatting it goes down to 581gb?? 59 gb lost for NTFS formatting seems rather high

Other Thoughts: ordered Gskill 8gb ram, laptop instantly recognized it, very pleased with it so far.
my wife's emachine laptop's wifi card sees more wifi points than this one does when they are sitting next to each other, but sees our router at same strength.

Pros: Lightning Fast

Cons: Stopped connecting to the internet, horrible speakers, resolution could be better.

Other Thoughts: The second day of using this laptop it stopped connecting to the internet. Just like the previous reviewer by the name of " rev ". I called acer and was told I would have to pay to get over the phone assistance from the tech dept. I was beyond angry !! I asked my brother for help, he discovered the anti virus soft ware was preventing me from connecting to the internet. I guess the antivirus was acting like a firewall. My brother removed the antivirus and now I can connect. I asked newegg for help, they said they would reach out to acer in my behalf. They sent me a form to fill out. But my brother was able to fix it. I'm happy with newegg. But I'm still furious with how acer treated me !!!

Pros: i7 Sandy Bridge, HD graphics, sharp screen, VERY light for its size, price point is amazing, Dolby speakers sound incredible.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: After you spend the hour uninstalling the bloatware, this thing is a beast. Incredibly powerful, nice screen, super light, the best machine in its price point.

Pros: looks good, light weigt, and fast boot up.

Cons: I bought it less than a month ago and only used it for watching nextfls. the laptop stop connecting to the internet. (not wifi nor LAN) I called acer and they told me it was a software problem and that i have to pay for them to fix it. instead of giving me ideals on fixing it like reloading drivers or restore it thay try to sell me a deal on them fixing it.

Other Thoughts: new egg have done wonderful and taken care of everything

Pros: Price = this is unbeatable value

Cons: none - even the graphics seem to work great!

Pros: This computer is truly a work of art. Featuring a slick and modern design, the processor speed is very decent, handling applications at very fast rates. It provides the necessary amount of usb’s along with hdmi out and Bluetooth connectivity. The DVD recorder does a nice job as well, and the video adapter has options you can play with for added functionality.

Cons: At 1.3 megapixels, the camera is a little bit on the low quality side, however, does an ok job in spite of its resolution. Although rather large, at 5400 rpm, the hard drive much to be desired. The manufacturers did not even bother to partition the drive in a way so that the operating system is apart from your personal files.

Pros: well-built, runs cool, hdmi, usb 3, fast chip set.

Cons: graphics are average to above average, not necessarily a con.

Other Thoughts: Hard to beat value unless you are an extreme gamer.

Pros: Fast (boots very quickly even with relatively slow hard drive), decent battery life, USB 3, on sale (when I bought it) for $650. Lack of dedicated graphics card no problem for me.

Cons: Low-contrast screen; keyboard sort of flimsy (and who needs 10-key on a laptop at the expense of full-size arrow and Pg. Up/Pg. Down keys?); only three USB ports; glaring front LEDs; touchpad apparently positioned for lefties.
I also don't understand the rationale behind putting big, slower hard drives in laptops. External storage is cheap. I don't need 600gb with me everywhere I go.

Other Thoughts: I've found it stays quite cool (and I don't have air conditioning). Strange selection of useless preinstalled software (NY Times Reader?), but not as much as I'd expected.

Pros: Fast
Great price
Decent display
Feels solid, but not too heavy.
Spare AC adapters cheap.

Cons: Nothing that is not is the specs
No PCMIA port, no firewire, speakers just ok

Other Thoughts: I upgraded to 8GB of memory and a 7200 RPM drive, but units cost way more than this one only had 4GB and a 5400 RPM drive.
I only expect to use laptops for 3 years, so I don't spend too much on them.
I loaded Ultimate on it, be sure to go to the web site first and download drivers as Win7 does not have them out of the box. This one has a Atheros wifi so get that driver (there are three to choose from)
Note that according to Consumer Reports ACER has the highest reliability rating. We will see.
