Pros: decent performance for the price

Cons: bad ac/dc jack after not even a month of use.

Pros: Was good while it lasted. Price. Dedicated video.

Cons: Heat dissipation, sound, poor quality parts, eventual failure.

Pros: Good price for quality. Light and durable - has served me for over a year. Plays current generation games at low graphics settings.

Cons: After about 3-4 months, the hard-drive would unexpectedly fails to be detected at start up. Resetting the computer usually resolves within 2-3 tries. Speakers are quiet and low quality, but nothing a headset can't fix. The biggest con is the keyboard. The keyboard keys feel flimsy and have been known to stick from time to time.

Other Thoughts: Battery life: around 3 hours.

Pros: The laptop seems ok, at this point, but I do not hold out a lot of hope.

Cons: Not happy that 13 months after purchase the charger has ceased to work anymore...That is not well made at all and very disturbing. Especially since the manufacturer washes its hands because it is exactly one month past warranty...Cheap rubbish. Would not purchase Acer again.

Pros: Dual core Phenom processor can be O.C by removing limiter but that voids the warranty. Good CPU power and graphic power to use AutoCad and rendering 3D drafts.

Cons: Overheating issues. The laptop frame is all plastic and classic chassis design causes more heat absorb. The case should've been made from partial aluminum for the left side of the laptop. It can overheat extreme easily and you can feel the heat radiate on top of your keyboard.

Other Thoughts: Get a laptop cooling pad. and also aluminum casing for RAM. also find some thin aluminum plate and place it on the left side of the laptop on the inside to reduce the heat.

Pros: Fast, efficient.

Cons: Extreme heat issues, even with a notebook cooler. Horrible customer service. Hard drive crashed at 11 months of ownership, and Acer hasn't responded yet. Bought a replacement hard drive here out of my own pocket just to get the laptop up again. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the lack of a reply on Acer's part on something still in warranty, albeit only for a short period of time.

Pros: I can't imagine a better computer for the price. It has a powerful processor and a decent graphics card to back it up. Bought it to play Skyrim and Fallout NV and it sure as hell did that with only minor lag. Not sure if I'd buy it for gaming, but it's beautiful within it's own perimeters and I haven't had any problems at all that weren't overcome by installing a new driver or something.

Cons: Most people claimed it overheats. I only recently started monitoring its temperature. With a cooling platform it idles around 45-51 Celsius and during intense gaming for several hours it can hover around 70 Celcius, but that's not really a problem since it rarely moves, I pretty much treat it as a cheap desktop, and it's better than any computer I've owned before.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a cheap computer, there is no comparable laptop on the market, with that processor and graphics card you are getting the greatest bang for your buck, most complaints are due to people not understanding how little they paid. It is more than what you paid for and maintenance is up to the buyer in order to maintain it's reliability. Buy a cooling platform, update all of the drivers, remove the bloatware and you have a portable economy dream machine.

Pros: I like it overall, except...

Cons: The laptop was fine the first few months I had it, but now the laptop overheats All the time. I have to keep it up off the desk or else it overheats and won't turn back on or recognize it's plugged in for awhile.

Other Thoughts: Would spend a little more on a better laptop next time.

Pros: Great Laptop, Especially for the price. Great performance nice specs, looks awesome, long battery life.

Cons: It gets kinda of hot during gaming, had it shutdown once due to this, built myself a cooler for it and hasn't happened again. The built in graphics are a bit limited

Pros: grate laptop for price. grate speed never bogs dawn, grate ram. small HDD space, if you wont to by and download a lot of games or videos make shear to get external. a low end grafics card, if you plan on playing games like skyrim or BF3, it may not run it.

Cons: low HDD space and low end graphics card.

Other Thoughts: grate laptop for price. but if you plan on getting it for gaming on games like skyrim or bf3 look some wheres else. other then that grate laptop for price and extremely fast. i would defiantly recommend this to a friend and already have.
