Acer Aspire S3 ultrabooks are some of the easiest notebooks to use. The keyboard features raised keys, so it's easy to navigate while typing. Additionally, the board's tactile feedback makes users aware that all of their entries have been recorded without having to add extra pressure to every keystroke. The auxiliary buttons are also smaller on these Acer ultrabooks, to reduce the potential for errors.

The Aspire S3 notebook line also features a sensitive touchpad. There are no clickable buttons - they've been integrated into the pad for easier navigation and page selection.

Dripped a little juice on the touchpad during a flight and it rendered the touchpad useless. I travel continuously and a few drops here and there is normal use. Acer calls this manhandling and wants $200 for a repair. I am going back to buying Dells. Other Thoughts:* I have a Dell 6420 and a MacBook. Both survive normal use in flight. Apps run really fast. Screen has a very good resolution, nice to look at. It's so light and slim it's quite amazing, looks great too, keyboard is decent for a laptop this thin, typing on it now. I have not used my iPad2 in weeks, this is faster and easier to browse the web. Have not used the HDMI out yet. Cons: Battery life could be better, but it keeps it light, i get around 4 hours of use, can use it through the day if it sleeps or shuts down some. Back lit keyboard would be nice, but that would take more battery, and increase weight. Removed some of the typical bloatware, not too bad though. 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful.
