1 out of 5 eggsno bootable drive to oblivion

Pros: light weight design, decent battery

Cons: constant crashes from SSD drive, horrible reliability, wireless goes in and out

Other Thoughts: So I bought this lap top in December 2011. I bought it for work (I travel and edit) its light design and power was too good of an offer to pass up.

out of the now 6 months of owning it It has been in the shop 4 times for the exact same problem.

History of my ownership

purchased: December 8th 2011 (certified Acer store)
SSD drive fail: Jan 17th 2012 (replaced and handed back turn around 3 business days)
SSD drive fail: Feb 17th 2012 (replaced and handed back 3 business day turn around)
SSD drive fail: April 18th 2012 (mailed to service center replaced shipped back received May 1st)
SSD drive fail: May 1st (right out of box from fed ex office in Clients office to right back into box. reloaded UI/ Default... which did not work or me when I tried doing in the office? and returned may 8th)

3 out of 5 eggsOverpriced

Pros: Althought it has decent battery life and its thinner than most, its performance equivalent is along the lines of a $650 normal laptop... or anything with an A8 APU.

ONLY buy this if you need portability and as much performance as possible. Otherwise, forget expensive Ultrabooks.

Cons: Expensive
Bad screen
Intel graphics

Other Thoughts: Wait for AMD's Trinity ultrathins.... AMD's graphics are far ahead of Intel's. Ultrathins will be able to handle Battlefield 3, meanwhile Ultrabooks will cost a ton more and will only be good with CPU intensive stuff like calculating Pi.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap Quality screen

Pros: Beautiful Design
Good Performance

Cons: Cheap screen I think all this laptop now is made by one sub contractor factory in china with the exception of Apple, from HP, to Dell, toshiba, lenovo, they all have very bad lines

Other Thoughts: not surprise tht company like this will always tried their best to screw things up, they fix the design messed up the screen, either tht or the battery life, either that or very slow performance, acer, asus, lenovo, hp, dell, toshiba, will try their best to always ruin their product, why ? cause they have no class in doing business and no sense of art

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad!

Pros: Fast and overall light, SSD is great, stays cool and quiet on lap, nice screen. Keyboard is actually not the bad for a netbook, but I don't have gigantic sausage fingers.

Cons: Only aluminum on top (plastic on bottom), making it akwardly top heavy. Battery is not as great as advertised. Quite a bit of bloatware. No USB3. "professionally tuned" engraving not very true considering the tiny neetbook speakers. No light up keyboard.

Other Thoughts: If price is a concern get this instead of a mac book air. Outstanding value in comparison, but slightly awkward in design.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

Pros: Feels solid. Very thin and light. SSD is zoomy fast on routine activity like booting up, logging in, and loading applications. Nice placement of the plugs & ports. Visual ooh & ahh factor.

Cons: Wireless antenna slightly sub-par, which impacts range. Battery life so-so, may improve with more cycling, but still not bad.

Other Thoughts: Quite pleased so far. The Core i7/240GB SSD combo works well. I find the form factor pleasing. as it's slightly more curvy than competing brands in the category. Will need to see how it holds up over time. The packaging is good so it should make it through the delivery process without issues, mine did.
