The Acer Aspire S3 laptop line provides users with strong performance quality. These ultrabooks have Intel Corei7 processors and 4 GB memory backups, so there aren't delays when multiple applications are in use. The solid state drive provides for a reduced boot time, and allows programs to open quickly.
The 13.3-inch screen provides plenty of room for multiple windows, and the high definition display makes it easy to navigate between several different menus. The Intel HD graphics card produces sharp images, even for 720p video.
The keyboard is larger than those of comparable ultrabooks. The tactile response allows users to type comfortably without worrying that some letters didn't register. The smaller touchpad benefits those who accidentally activate multi-touch gestures while resting their hands.
Good laptop but unreliable and horrible support
Pros: This is a lightweight fast laptop. It is great for the price and has great features. The 8 second boot times I received where very much acceptable. It was relatively powerful for its form factor. It had the same if not more power than my amd triple core. The overall build quality was
Cons: The on board video however does not process very much power so any gaming that this laptop is planned for can pretty much be thrown out the window. The SSD failed about 3 months after receiving the machine. There were no warning signs the drive just stopped working. I had to send it back to Acer so I created the repair request. At creation the prompt said i would be receiving a shipping address and information to ship them my laptop. Four days later i called and asked them what the deal was, they had still not sent me the email with information. I made a fuss and the person on the phone reluctantly gave me information to send in my laptop. At this point i sent out the laptop on my own dime for about 45 bucks. This was slightly infuriating because i had just spent the high amount of $$$ on the machine then had to pay to have them fix a manufacture defect. However i sent it in. A week went by and there was no word about my laptop and I went to the Acer support website and checked on the status and found it said it had not arrived yet. Another week went by with no word on the status of my repair. I went back to the support website and checked again it now said under repair. A week went by still no notification. I checked again and nothing has changed with my order. Acer has had my laptop for a month now and there is no information on status of the repair. When I will get it back, or and communication from the company at all. It is safe to say that this will be the last time I order from Acer again. I also suggest no one else go through this hassle and just go with ASUS or DELL even would be better.
Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY ACER IF YOU WOULD LIKE CUSTOMER AND TECHNICHAL SUPPORT PAY THE EXTRA FOR A ASUS OR DELL
