Pros: got 2 of these for people at work. Wiped them and put win7 pro on them.
Cons: none, but I wasn't able to test battery life.
Other Thoughts: 15.6" should have 1920x1080 res to look good.. but that's not a big deal for my usage

only ultrabook with dvd
Pros: Wife had to have an internal dvd drive and 8 hours battery time. This is the only laptop I found that has both; +2. She also wanted a full number pad; +1. sleek and stylish, and doesn't come with too much bloatware. USB charging ports are a nice touch; +1; came with free extended warranty; +1; screen is way brighter than an old acer travelmate it replaces. Gestures support is super handy. The power brick is so tiny. This seems to be the top of the line processor for the i5 series. Resumes from hibernation super fast. HDMI is easier for the wife to use. speakers sound much better than expected
Cons: Screen resolution is not that great, but you'd have to spend almost twice as much to find anything better, and then there is no DVD drive. There are no led indicators (such as hard drive, caps lock, wifi..) anywhere except under the front lip for power, which is hard to see. The power button is the same place, and it's such a small area, it's hard to fit my fat fingers there to turn it on. Only 6 gigs of memory, highest I could find in this class and can't be upgraded. Although it's half the size of it's predecessor, it still weighs the same amazingly, probably due to the dvd drive. A little heavier than wife would have liked. Not sure how useful the ssd is, perhaps it's just used for the pagefile and the hibernation file?
Other Thoughts: It's an attractive upgrade, hope it lasts as long as the 7 year old Acer TravelMate behemoth it replaces.

What's not to love?
Pros: I purchased this laptop because I needed a lightweight laptop for work that had screen large enough for working in multiple windows and enough power to run multiple programs simultaneously (mostly office suite/adobe software, image and data analysis software). This laptop does all of that for me and I love it. The backlit keyboard is great and versatile, love that the keys are spaced out for comfort and the palm pads provide plenty of rest room. It takes a day to get used to the feel of the trackpad, but I am happy with it. The screen is clear and bright and doesn't feel "crowded" in the way that some laptop screens do. The battery underestimates itself (the other day I lost five minutes of battery life over 30 minutes of light use) and even after hours of use, the laptop doesn't heat up.
Cons: I wish this laptop had higher screen resolution, but that being said, I haven't had issues with the current resolution-- just one of those things in the back of your mind.
Other Thoughts: This is probably one of the better ultrabooks on the market for a person who is looking for lightweight power (and something a hint larger than your typical ultrabook). If you are on the fence, go for it! I love this laptop!
