Pros: Seems like the previous reviewer had a bad experience with tech support and some faulty hardware. Hopefully it was taken care of. I have been selling computers for over 16 years and began recommending Acer to my customers over six years ago because of the great products and tech support. My customers and I have never had an issue when contacting Acer about warranty work.

If you compare the top four computer manufacturers in the world, Acer has the best customer support rating. No support from any company is perfect, and probably never will be.

Cons: Acer support can be a little confusing at first. To talk to anyone you must first enter the SNID number of the product. Once the number is entered correctly you move on to talk to a rep. which will ask you again for the SNID number.

Other Thoughts: Returned a product to Acer for warranty repair and after two weeks received an email informing me they were have difficulty getting a part to repair the problem. Three days later received a brand new replacement of the product. Was very pleased.

Pros: If I were the robot in Lost in Space I'd be waving my arms yelling DANGER DANGER at the top of my lungs.
If you google ACER Reviews you're going to find a vastly different opinion on ACER products AND on their repair service out of Tyler Texas.
I owned the product 3 months and the screen began developing a glitch where I'd intermittantly lose picture.
I contacted ACERs on line support (marginally useless) and then their phone tech support (TOTALLY Useless and incomprehensible..thing "outsourcing" th movie)
The laptop has been at Tyler Texas 3 weeks now..NO response, no indication of whether it's been repaired or not.
It was then (hindsight being the proverbial 20/20) I went on line and googled Acer Repair/Tech Support reviews.. The list of complaints goes on for 14 pages folks.
Unless you wish to pay for repairs right from the get go(at which point get yourself a qualified ACER technician in your local) ,you're hung.
The warranty is useless because the factory support behind the product is a joke.
And a product ..washer, car, toaster..laptop/desktop is only as good as the people who stand behind it.
Wish I knew then, what I know now.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for and in this case that low price and all the extras equate to no support for the product.
