Pros: very few

Cons: wi-fi connectivity, computer performance

Other Thoughts: terrible problems with wi-fi connection. Have spoke with customer service, was told to load more recent driver for wireless card, that they werre "aware of the issue" (though if aware, why didn't they ship with most recent driver?). This did not solve problem, back to online support, told it was a problem with BIOS and had to go through 40 minutes of support to fix this, worked for a bit, then back to the same problems with connectivity. Now "outside" of the 30 day return window at Newegg. Very, very, very disappointed in this machine. I would not buy!!!!

Pros: I like the touch screen.

Cons: Computer crashed on day 97 of ownership. DISGUSTED and DISAPPOINTED. After an hour on the phone with Acer, I'll be shipping in back for repairs. Not what I had in mind.

Pros: I purchased this for a casual play computer - and it fits the bill perfect, its lighter than an ultrabook, feels nice, Windows 8 runs smooth on it, touchpad is nice I like the control ability on it. Even comes with USB 3.0, HDMI. and a DVD Drive!! and still just as thin as those $1500 ultrabooks with the same specs.
Battery Life is also good.

Touchscreen is very precise.

Cons: Sound - I would say its decent for video playback but not useful when listening to music or watching movies.

Screen Quality - The touchscreen is cheap and its understandable at the price I will just note that when pressing on the back panel it bleeds a little - but this is common on cheaper quality screens.

(Note: this does not stop the picture from coming out beautiful.)

It does not break as easy as the other reviewer says, I guess they must be little heavy fingered. Which is absolutely not necessary you can just glide your finger on the screen its hyper sensitive.

Suggestion: Do not carry by pinching the computer with thumb and fingers on the top but instead cradle it with battery (back/bottom) in the palm of your hand by your hip.

Other Thoughts: I did make an upgrade to this machine and that is to the Harddrive

I put in a solid state drive. This makes it a top of the line ultrabook, it made the battery last an extra 30-40 minutes and boot time is now instantaneous.

Pros: I love Windows 8. I think the software utilizes touch screen applications well enough to maintain relevance in a post keyboard era...this laptop is capable since it has a touch screen.

Cons: Too bad the touch screen keeps breaking. My first laptop was damaged in shipping. The screen had a large chunk missing from it and was cracked. I don't know if this was Acer's fault or the shipping company or Newegg. I am going to assume it was Acer because Newegg shipped me another one and that one broke within 2 weeks. The laptop is extremely flimsy. The touch screen is thin. I don't even want to pay the 200.00 Acer is demanding from me to repair the product. Even though I have only had it a few weeks the screen is not covered on their limited 1 year warranty. Good luck trying to talk to someone at Acer that can make an intelligent business decision as well. I thought for 200.00 it was worth keeping me quiet about a few product flaws in this laptop.

1. The plastic the use is cheap. It is so flimsy you can bend the laptop with a little pressure. Believe me after they told me they were not going to warranty a product a few weeks after purchase I ran a few tests on my own.

Other Thoughts: 2. The angles they cut the glass for the touchscreen are going to promote shattering. Most touchscreen products do not expose portions of the glass that are going to cause this to happen repeatedly. I can't explain to you why a laptop screen will shatter in a carrying case with no sign of impact.

I can go on...but I think you get the idea. I will never purchase another Acer product or any product form their sister companies. Charge enough for you products to offer an average customer service experience too. At least Newegg was willing to give us a shot on a replacement without making me jump through the typical hoops. If you value your hard earned money like I do...spend a little more and go with a better manufacturer.
