Cons: Batter life but thats expected for a laptop like this. At the weight it is it is more like a desktop replacement.

Other Thoughts: No complaints from my brother who is using it for everyday use and gaming.

Pros: Its a powerful laptop for the money. Good RAM and the i5 has a good speed. the hard drive is alright and the dvd drive is a pop out one which is what I needed. I didn't mind the bloatware took a hour to get rid of it all and this baby hums. the graphics card is pretty strong and for all the games I play on it... its awesome. Everything at 60 fps or better. I'm a big guy and I want a laptop that accomodates me and this does well and then some. The keyboard is really nice as well. Its chicklet style and all the keys aren't lumped together to gather garbage in between the keys. That was a pleasant surprise. oh and runs super cool. Even under a heavy load the heat pushes right out of the computer and is still comfortable.

Cons: Everyone has already stated it already. The laptop is a magnet for fingerprints and the track pad is a little off. Also for me the G key is super sensitive and it only takes almost no pressure before it registers a stroke. And the 2 mouse keys under the track pad are sticking up a bit at the edges, above the edge of where it should lie.

Windows 8 is its own list of problems but there are ways around it. I have been messing around with things like Start8 and Classic Start 8. Even Start W8. All options to get around Windows 8 biggest flaw, the metro UI. If you use this and with a little practice and patience you wouldn't even know that you had that pesky Metro problem.

Other Thoughts: As I said before try out the programs to get around Metro and you will have a computer that is packed with power and at a great price. I hope they restock it soon because others should get a chance to own this great computer. Its done everything I asked of it and handled all tasks I tossed at it without issues.

Track pad is a pain. Screens switching all the time even with sensitivity set low. Had to switch off track pad options just to use. Have all the latest drivers installed but still constantly getting kicked off my wireless for no reason... Updated router software and no longer have issues!

Other Thoughts: Other Thoughts: Windows 8 is obviously only good for touch screen machines which this is not. Not a fault of the machine but should be known for people looking at windows 8 as it has a bit of a learning curve. Read up on antiviruses! I ended up having to recover due to incompatibility of windows 8. Classic shell is the answer.

Pros: Big screen, I would say good price but it doesnt work well, so price makes little difference.

Cons: Network card intermittently keeps dropping signal. Must disable and then enable over and over again to make it work. Going to try to get it replaced, but they're out of stock... Lets see what happens.
Also Windows 8 is designed for tablets, and portable media devices. Very cumbersome and awkward on a laptop.

Other Thoughts: I doubt I will get my money back because I dont think I have "original packaging", but i threw it out because Newegg has never failed me before. But there could be a first time for everything.

Pros: Great Screen, graphics, processor, almost everything. I actually like Windows 8, will take a little getting used to, but I like it. I'm not having a problem with all of the extra software installed.

Cons: Fingerprint magnet? Just clean it off...

Other Thoughts: For the price this had everything I needed... its a shame its listed as out of stock/discontinued.

Pros: Tons of bang for the buck!

Cons: None really. I even like Windows 8. Might be the only man on Earth to say that.

Other Thoughts: Granted there are better laptops to be had, but if you only have $700 to spend, this is a good one. If you're gamer, don't think twice. Buy it!

Pros: Able to play a large amount of games thanks to the nice Graphics Card in it.
Ram is can be Upgraded up to 8 GB.
Great 17" Display.
Stays cool very well.
Price to boot was also very good for the laptop.

Cons: Windows 8 (In my opinion one of the most horrid OS Microsoft could of made.)
I couldn't also get my Windows 7 Disc to go through on the boot menu so trying to get another OS on it can be challanging for the people who don't have much intellect with that sort of thing... (Like Myself. A decent solution is to use Start8 which changes the UI of Windows 8 to look like Windows 7.)
I don't know if it was because I was downloading things in the background that my speakers made scratchy noises while playing so i'll have to look into that a bit.
It is a Major fingerprint magnet like people say.
Trackpad isn't that best but it's just something I have to adjust to.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am extremely satisfied as a PC gamer that I can finally take a lot of my steam games on the go now that run with almost no flaws. The big killer for me is Windows 8 though as there's not much I can do about that for the time being but a passable solution is to use the Start8 program so I can at least SEE Windows 7 without looking at Windows 8.

Cons: None besides the unfortunate mess that is Windows 8

Other Thoughts: After reading many reviews and comparing this to my friend's ultra-book of the similar price I decided to go with this beast of a rig and I'm very happy with my purchase. I plan on upgrading this as the years go on with an SSD and more ram and with a great video card already in it, should last quite some time. I mostly use it for League of Legends and a few other games and it handles them no problem - as expected. Don't understand why people are so picky on this site about everything in their reviews - it does what it's supposed to and the gloss adds a nice touch.
