Pros: Small, lightweight, SSD hard drive, lots of RAM, Windows 7 Pro, great display, long battery life. Cons: Doesn't survive a 4' drop onto a tile and concrete floor. Other Thoughts: After purchasing a number of R830 and R930 Toshiba notebooks for work, I use an R830 nearly daily (previous version) and find it to be 100% adequate for any regular user or business purposes. These machines boot fast, have a great battery life, the 13" display is very good, wifi IS 5MHz WiFi N (a), gets 130MHz to 280MHz depending on location from WiFi access point and quality of access point. I'm an IT manager for a company that currently has about 20 of these between the R830 and R930 and the user base is EXTREMELY happy with these. Not sure what issues the other reviewer has but he/she is obviously not very experienced with these models as I have been over the past 2+ years. The user base prefers these over the comparable Lenovo x200/x220/x230 tablet convertibles. Display size, weight, battery life, and portability all rank above the ability to touch/pen/tablet use. I wish I could afford one for personal use because I would put one in place of my current desktop, laptop, and HTPCs in an instant! Did you find this review helpful?
