4 out of 5 eggsDual Core, not Single Core

Pros: Just writing this to refute incorrect info below - this processor is dual-core, guy writing review under username "N/A" is just totally incorrect. Google the following term to find Intel's website with correct specifications:

Intel Celeron Processor 847

Cons: -

Other Thoughts: Pretty good deal, buy a second 4GB of RAM to pop in it and it should serve for many basic purposes.

3 out of 5 eggsFor the money, fair machine

Pros: Fairly capable for the money, all things considered

Cons: Won't run Linux, at least not able to boot from a Linux live disc media, such as Ubuntu. Not a big issue to most low end users but I like to have the ability to use these for rescue purposes.

Other Thoughts: For the money???

5 out of 5 eggsDont believe the negative reviews

Pros: for this price, and with a free printer, a real bargain

this is a low wattage, low temp, DUAL core celeron, and runs great for what it was designed to do.

Cons: tech level dreamers

Other Thoughts: this a DUAL core celeron NOT single, and runs just fine. It is EASY to make w 8 run, look, act, behave, smell, taste, like w 7. look for "classic shell". so the guy with shop who can NOT tune up his customers PCs for them, I suggest they go elsewhere. Uninstall the bloatware through control panel, programs. this laptop runs just fine for browsing, email, youtube, and the like !!!

1 out of 5 eggsnot worth $330

Pros: It has a warranty

Cons: It has a celeron processor, windows 8, and Toshiba is known for their insane amount of bloatware that runs in the background. Celeron processors are more or less Pentium 4's. That's a single core CPU, and what's worse is that it's only 1.1GHz, so it's actually slower than the cpu's out 10 years ago. People bring these into my shop all the time for us to speed them up, but even after we remove the 20 or so preinstalled Toshiba programs, kill startup programs and services, they are still slow. Also, windows 8 is designed for touchscreens and tablets, not regular PC's. People are making the mistake of thinking that since it's new, it's better than windows 7. Windows 7 is still the best microsoft opoperating system, by far. You can still find a dual core laptop with windows 7 and 3-4 GB of ram and a 320GB hard drive for less than $400. Just please do your research first. It really does suck to tell people that we cant make their laptop much faster because it has a cpu that shouldnt even be on the market. Please please dont buy this or any celeron laptop. They cant be sped up.

4 out of 5 eggsNew Review

Pros: everything is very nice and windows 8 is okay once you get the hang of it or you have had a windows device before. Very nice condition and scan. Fast loading time also. Downloads are fast

Cons: Low Battery life. Recommended to buy a second or backup battery

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Andy must not of read the spec's before he order this laptop. You buy a everyday p/c, what do you expect? It wasn't made for what you were looking for. I upgraded mine to 8Gb ram, DDR3 1600 and works just fine.

Cons: I will have to agree, Windows 8 sucks big time. Microsoft has messed up before trying to improve things and than taking forever to straighten things out. Give them a couple years and Windows 8 might work half way decent. Like they say, good things take time.

2 out of 5 eggsWould not buy again.

Pros: Cheap laptop.

Cons: Lots of useless start up programs that slows pc down. You need to know computers to remove these garbage junk so it can run back on a descent speed. I dislike windows 8 so much after I brought this laptop.

Other Thoughts: Only buy this to surf the web. Don't even bother playing games because I tried league of legends and it lags even with the lowest quality. Do not buy this computer to play games warning you.
