Pros: This machine is a steal for the price. It isn't an extreme performance machine, but instead a jack of all trades. The AMD Radeon 7670m runs older games on medium-high settings and newer games (Hawken, SWOTR) at low-medium settings. The 3rd Gen i5 is wonderful; not overpowered, but snappy enough for general use. So far the battery life has been stellar, even during long gaming sessions. For normal use (web browsing, even streaming video) I've had surprisingly long battery life. Currently averaging 3 hours per charge.
Cons: The track pad is a disaster. It's unresponsive 20% of the time and constantly infuriating. The physical buttons are tiny and awkward. It's not impossible to use, but I wouldn't call it enjoyable. However, it's totally unacceptable for gaming. Thank goodness for my wireless mouse.
Other Thoughts: Not the computer for you if you're convincing yourself that you can get a nice gaming laptop for under $1000. Even with a few flaws, I've been very happy with this purchase.
