5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Gaming Laptop

Pros: -Very thin
-EXCELLENT Battery Life (5-6 hrs)
-Fast
-Good FPS in Wow, LoL, and Smite
-Good USB placement
-Solid keyboard frame

Cons: -Recommended 8GB RAM for solid gaming
-Top of the lid shell is a little flimsy, scared i might put a little too much pressure and break the screen while carrying it.
-battery and hard drive Slightly annoying to get to

Other Thoughts: First thing you must know, This is a MACBOOK design clone. I see a lot of people complaining about this. The bottom panel is a 1 piece design (Besides the memory door). The battery and hard drive are under the plate. It is VERY easy to take off, its not clipped in, you just remove the screws and it lifts right off. I replaced the RAM with 8GB for a little more performance in gaming, Windows 8 is running solid, and i also put a SSD in as a replacement because i travel a lot and like less moving parts.

I have played some mid level games on this with max settings and get max frames. It gets a little warm so i have a basic Zalman cooler on it for when i do game.

Without gaming I can easily get 5-6 hours of wireless internet browsing and MS Office use, with 75% screen brightness.

OVERALL i love this, it was perfect for the price.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Affordable Laptop

Pros: This laptop is just what I was looking for: a low-budget laptop that would let me play newer games on medium (and sometimes high) graphics settings. I have yet to try any games from 2013.

The sound quality is pretty good for a laptop of this price.

Cons: Not too many ons for what I paid, but one thing that annoys me is that the headphone jack is on the right side, where most people would want to use a mouse while gaming. It's also worth mentioning that, even though I've been very careful while carrying this thing around, there's a vertical line on my screen that comes and goes. It only happened a couple of times, but the fact that it happened at all has me raising my eyebrows.

Other Thoughts: Overall, the pros outweigh the cons. I can play culturally relevant games (and probably will be able to for a couple more years at lower settings), so if you care about not getting left in the dust by friends who have more powerful computers, this laptop may actually make you feel like someone loves you.

4 out of 5 eggsFirst Week Review

Pros: I bought this laptop specifically for the graphic card and the price range. For it's value, I guess it's worth it, but of course you can't run high quality games, low settings at most. Takes a little while to get the hang of Windows 8, it's all based on the amount of exploring you do. Great school laptop for your school work and gaming needs.

Cons: Be aware that this computer is not touch screen! When I bought this computer, it honestly didn't matter to me whether it did have touch screen or not. However, since the operating system is Windows 8, it feels like a waste not having that feature. There are a lot of unnecessary applications installed, but that can easily be uninstalled. Track pad seems a little sensitive but usable.
Another issue I've been having was the loading for when you log into computer, when the password is correct, it'll take a 1-5 seconds to log in. However, when the password is wrong, it takes randomly 5-15 seconds to allow the user to input the password again. Extremely annoying... It may just be the operating system, I will try to reformat the computer to try to fix this problem.

Other Thoughts: -Battery life is pretty decent, assuming that you are going to play games on the laptop.
-Much easier to use with a mouse.
-Not touch screen
-Good for school/gaming

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Best Dedicated Graphics for the price. Dedicated touchpad disable button. Tray loading DVD drive. Standardized power input. Lights on Caps Lock and Num Lock buttons (these aren't standard, apparently)

Cons: Touchpad will sometimes get stuck, leading to random movements. Battery Life is only 2-4 hours, and is not user serviceable. Hard drive and wireless card are modular (per the BIOS), but are not user serviceable. No keyboard Backlight (not surprised for the price). Doesn't come with recovery media (you have to make your own with the given programs)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Low End Gaming Laptop

Pros: This is a great laptop for casual gaming on the side. While I have yet to get used to Windows 8 and its nuances the overall experience of this laptop have been great.

Cons: The CPU is a little on the slow side in my opinion; Turbo Boost clock sits at around 2.5/2.6 GHz which makes most games playable. I do wish I went for the upgrade. The biggest con is the track pad. It is probably one of the most worthless track pads I have ever used. Be sure to get a laptop mouse alongside purchasing it.

Other Thoughts: Need a cheap laptop for casual gaming. The graphics card is pretty great in laptop standards.
